It was my lucky day when I asked Steve for a quote for painting my conservatory and kitchen. He is a really nice person to have around the house, a neat and tidy worker. All areas were covered before commencing work. His attention to detail was amazing. The quality of his work is exceptional. He was always punctual and worked hard. I will not be using any other painter/ decorator while he is available. He has given me a quote for painting my lounge and dining room which he will do early 2021. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and have already advised friends regarding his professionalism.

The work that Steve carried out in our bathroom and bedroom was fantastic. His professional work ethic and friendly demeanour meant it was a pleasure to have him here each day. He was punctual and the work area was always kept clean and tidy. The quality of the work done was excellent and Steve was able to expertly deal with the crumbling plaster on our walls. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. Am looking forward to seeing him on the next job!

Steve was brilliant! He was punctual every morning and worked solidly all day! He painted our kitchen, lounge, hallway, bedroom and bathroom in 4 1/2 days. There were lots of dark colours in the house before, painted woodwork and a black glittery bathroom ceiling which he has painted over. The house looks fresh and so much brighter! He protected all the furniture and flooring and his price was really reasonable! We really recommend Steve!

Arranged with Steve to prepare & paint the exterior timber and rendering of my house. He was very professional, punctual and diligent. His work is top quality. He highlighted and addressed any defects rather than covering them up. He is somebody I would certainly call again for any such work.

I found Steve on Which? and decided to call him based on the excellent reviews; it was a very good decision. Steve's colleague Vik carried out virtually all of the work. I was really impressed with the care and attention that went into the preparation and I'm delighted with the end result. I will definitely be asking Steve and Vik back to work their magic in the rest of the house.

I had the wooden sash windows at the front and back of the house repaired, where needed, and painted. A couple of the windows were stuck and these were freed and I now have fully functioning windows again. Vic carried out all of the work and every evening the house was left tidy and secure. Both Steve and Vic were friendly, polite and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, as long as it doesn't impact on their availability for my next decorating job! Thank you both for a beautiful job very well done.

Steve impressed me from the beginning. Turned up on time and very pleasant to deal with. A reasonable quote plus most importantly he did an amazing job. Very efficient and house looked great afterwards. All in all, very happy and would definitely recommend him.

Steve was helpful and friendly and went to a lot of trouble to give me very good advice on the shade of grey to use for the hall, stairs and landing of my Victorian house. He turned up on time and has excellent communication. His work was neat and tidy and he was kind and charming and a pleasure to have around. I am delighted with the finished job which is superb. Steve and his colleague Vic did some comprehensive decorating work to the front, back and side elevations of our house. This covered fascia boards and soffits, masonry walls, all woodwork including the garage doors and painting the porch floor. The work was carefully planned and was carried out to an excellent standard and on time. All the work areas were protected and left tidy at the end of the day. Both Steve and Vic were very friendly, helpful and a pleasure to have around. We are very pleased with the outcome and we will be happy to use Steve again whenever the need arises.

Steve painted our upstairs windows, which were previously looking cracked and old. Now, they look as good as new. Steve was friendly and professional throughout and cleared up thoroughly after the job. We also had issues with the weather but Steve was happy to accommodate to make sure the job was done properly.

I am thrilled with the work Vick has done painting the exterior of our Victorian house; window casements and sills, rendering, mouldings, front door, architrave and doorstep all done beautifully, following what I think was a very reasonable quote from Steve. The house hadn’t been painted for several years so it was looking very rough. Now it looks fabulous. Steve and Vick are skilled, professional, friendly, interesting and just really pleasant to deal with.

Engaged Steve to paint the exterior of my house purely based on reviews. Not disappointed. He is a very polite, experienced, reliable and tidy tradesman. Just wanted the exterior woodwork spruced up on my house. Steve was on time and worked hard. Actually done more than he had quoted for to create a better overall appearance. Rain upset his plans but he returned on the Saturday to finish the job.

We are really delighted with the work carried out for us by Steve. Steve produced a very competitive quotation for the preparation and decoration of two large bedrooms, the hall, stairs and first floor landing. He was friendly and professional throughout, arriving on time every morning. He gave good advice on colour schemes and how to match materials to get the effect we wanted. All the work areas were effectively protected while the work was carried out. A great deal of care and attention went into preparation of the surfaces, including dealing with water damage and areas of damp. The house was always left clean and tidy with all materials cleared away and stored securely at the end of each day's painting. Steve has been most accommodating, fitting in with our requirements. He was flexible in our last minute requests to make alterations to the planned works and to complete additional work not originally quoted for. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the work was completed on time and to a very high standard. We are delighted with the end result and would happily recommend Steve to our friends and family and will use him again when we require further decoration services.

This is the second time that we have used Steve. Steve gave us a very reasonable quote for painting our main bedroom and lounge, touching up the paintwork in our second bedroom and hallway, and painting all woodwork in the hallway. Steve and Vick are helpful, thorough and considerate and we are very happy with the end result of their work - the rooms are looking great and all work was completed on time. We would recommend them and have booked them in to paint our kitchen next.

They wallpapered my large hall and landing. He is a friendly genuine person and his quality of work, attention to detail and timekeeping was excellent. He went out of his way to ensure that I was happy with the work at every stage and was happy to answer any of my questions and explain things in detail. The finished product is excellent and was carried at a very reasonable price (he charged for consumables at cost providing the receipts). I will certainly use him again for any future projects and would recommend him to anyone without any reservations whatsoever.

They're a very pleasant person to deal with and the process of assessing and discussing the work was not rushed at all. I have a number of surfaces (including a resin floor, kitchen units and some furniture) that I was worried about protecting and I was very pleased at the care that was taken in the preparation work to ensure their safety. This professionalism continued into the preparation of the walls and the actual painting and I'm really very pleased with the final finish. Overall highly recommended!

Steve was recommended by a friend, and when I contacted him he was pleasant and friendly from the start. When he quoted me the price for work I wished to be carried out, he was straightforward and I knew he would be reliable. His timekeeping was excellent and he spent four days, stripping my old wallpaper, painting the woodwork twice, and finally putting up my new wallpaper in a patient and professional manner. He worked extremely hard and I was delighted with the result. In fact, I have asked him to quote me for decorating another room, and am willing to wait as I know how busy he is. Steve and Vic decorated the whole of the interior of my house, which hadn't been painted in a number of years. One of the bedrooms needed stripping right back and making good, they transformed it! On his first visit Steve discussed with me what needed doing and provided a reasonable quote quickly, although I had to wait a bit for him to be able to do the job, once it was started he and Vic completed the work in under 2 weeks. They always arrived on time and worked hard right through; they were friendly, polite, trustworthy and worked around us living in the house. They are very professional and the standard of their work is high; my house is so much brighter, they will be returning to paint the outside of the house and I have every confidence they'll do a good job on that too. Steve was recommended by Which trusted I read the reviews and I have to say he has surpassed my expectations. We met over a year ago when he quoted me for painting the outside of my house. He was straightforward with his quote without adding any extras He has completed the work to an extremely high standard within the time he specified so much so that I have asked him for further painting work which he will hopefully fit into his busy schedule. He arrives promptly and cleans up after himself I can not praise him enough. He has been approachable and knowledgeable. A true professional thank you Steve and I hope to see you soon.

We recommend Steve very highly indeed. He fitted us in when we needed to get work done by a particular date, and then was very understanding and accommodating when we needed to delay his planned start date. He and Vic did an excellent job in both the preparation (they were very thorough) and in the wall-papering & painting, taking great pains to get everything just right. We are delighted by the results. There was quite a lot to do, but everything was done on schedule and within the price estimate. Steve and Vic were also a pleasure to have in the house, making the whole process very smooth. We have asked them to carry out further work for us.

Our house was a sad peeling mess. External decoration was many years overdue. Steve and Vik have completely transformed the outside and have given our old wooden windows a new lease of life. We have received many admiring glances from passers by. Their preparation was thorough. They arrived punctually every morning concentrating only on our job. The job was completed within the time originally estimated and for the original estimate. There were some extra works recommended but these were reasonably costed and left entirely for us to decide whether or not to have them (we did and pleased we did). There were a couple of minor issues spotted after Steve had left but Steve came back the following day and they were sorted to our satisfaction without any quibble. Steve and Vik were very quiet and no trouble to have around. A piece of homemade cake and a cup of peppermint tea will keep Steve very happy. Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending Steve and we have booked him to do more decoration inside our house later in the year.

S. C. Campbell have just done the external redecoration of our Victorian house. It was a big job, and a lot of work. Steve was patient and helpful when I needed to change the start date, and when we had to have builders in to do some unexpected repairs that were discovered half way through. Vick worked dependably and solidly throughout and the work was done more thoroughly than it’s ever been done before. I’m thrilled with the result. The house looks absolutely beautiful and I know from the quality of the work that it will last a long time. The cost was very reasonable, too, so I’m delighted with all aspects of the job.
