Salop Glass & Glazing

We had our double glazing and doors done by Salop G&G 3 odd years ago. Around a week ago I had a problem with three of my doors, where one wouldn’t shut at all. I called and within an hour they responded. During the week they came round and fixed all doors very quickly. The team were professional, friendly and worked efficiently. After the weekend the team contacted me to make sure everything was ok and if I had any problem to get in touch. I would like to add that in the past I have contacted Salop with queries about my glazing and they have always been prompt to respond and come out to see the potential problem. These guys are worth every penny.

I had a really tricky piece of glass break in an old conservatory rang Salop Glass and glazing came out straightaway measured and returned to fit the glass .Fast response and turnaround. The final invoice was exactly what was quoted. Fantastic end-to-end service.

Excellent service from an excellent family business. The surveyor came promptly and measured the window glass needed and then sent me a price the next day. I booked the job and the glass installers arrived as promised and changed 3 window glasses 2 of which had to be leaded on the outside. All was finished and they cleaned up to my satisfaction. I first contacted Salop Glass and Glazing after I smashed a large patio window while mowing the lawn. They came, measured up and shortly after fitted the replacement, working around my work schedule. I then decided to have all the old windows (x18) replaced with a change of colour from oak / rosewood to white, they were slightly different in design having been put in over several years as the house grew, the patio doors were also being replaced. The measuring for the quote was fitted in at short notice as I was due to be working away, and the more accurate measuring for fitting done a short time after my return. The windows and patio doors were manufactured and then fitted by Nicky and Jason, who worked together well, all their work being carried out to a high standard. Having good weather on their side the process took about a week and a few days, the internal window boards were also replaced, this meant that a bit of plaster repair work was required from taking the old out, which again they did to a high standard. I’m now waiting for my front and back doors to be manufactured and a date for those to be fitted.

Three glazing panels had blown and we contacted Salop Glass to get them replaced. From the outset they were positive and helpful. They apologised they couldn’t do it immediately - very busy. The surveyor arrived exactly on time (he’d been at it for 40 years), took the measurements and then double checked them. The glass was ordered and on the day (dead on time) the units were replaced, cleaned and in no time the job was done. No fuss, no hassle, a good price, excellent. If only all services were that efficient!

I had used another company for a new window last year in our utility room. They promised to do our shed door which needed toughened glass these days. 9 Months later and nothing. By chance I came across these guys while searching the internet as the glass in a double glazing unit had cracked. Their advert said that they covered Telford, so I rang them. We were measured up within a week. There was no rush so I was prepared to wait a few weeks. I have to say that they turned up on the day and time they stated. The work was done with no inconvenience to us or our dog. The craftmanship was good and they did both glass pains in the shed door too. On top of that they also replaced to lead strips on the windows where they had come loose. Friendly and helpful from the first phone call. On top of that I did not find them expensive at all, in fact they charged less for all that than the people who replaced the utility room window which quite small.

Really happy with the service we received from the team at Salop Glass. We needed a pane of glass replaced in our French doors. Mike came out to measure up and we also asked if they would be able to install a cat flap for us. Mike explained the kind of flap we would need to get to ensure they'd be able to fit it correctly. We dropped the flap off to their office in Shrewsbury, Stan behind the desk was very helpful and explained the guys would be in touch. A few days later, Mark came out (on a Sunday, no less!) and installed the glass for us. They were in and out within the hour and were super tidy! Our cat is loving her newfound freedom and I'd 100% use Salop Glass again and recommend to others. Thanks team!

This was only a small job, but it required two people and a van to transport the large new pane and remove the old one. Salop Glass came out to measure the job at the appointed day and time and I received the quote by email shortly afterwards. The new pane arrived on the day and at the time as booked and was fitted in less than an hour. The two guys who did the job were thoroughly professional and took care to answer my questions, particularly about where to find the toughened glass mark. I was very impressed with the standard of the work and can fully recommend Salop Glass and Glazing to anyone.

Kind clear phone messaging . The job concerned a steel window with no margin of error available. The fitter made a beautiful neatly finished repair and I would recommend the firm with out hesitation.

We have just moved into a new house and needed to fit a cat flap. However it wasn’t possible to fit in the composite door so we contacted Salop Glass to ask if putting in through a patio window was an option. Very helpful team who came out quickly to look at the job, clearly explaining what they were going to do, then the glass was ordered and they also bought the cat flap too. They arrived with the replacement glass and very easily switched the original pane for the new one. Good advice to keep the original pane for future owners. Excellent service from all the team. What lovely gentlemen.

On the two occasions I have had panes fitted. I would say the service has been very good. The two fitters were very polite and friendly. They arrived at the time stated and were very efficient. I am very pleased with the new windows.

A replacement of aluminium glass in a patio door. I rang the company and an employee was sent around that afternoon, after which I received a quote within a short period. The glass was fitted to an agreed schedule and very reasonably priced. The two fitters were extremely pleasant , very competent and professional with their job. I was highly delighted throughout.
