John and his team came out promptly. Looked at the leak in the attic diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. He and the team were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend!

John and his team did an excellent job of replacing our flat roof providing the best estimate and technical specification of three companies asked to tender. His final invoice was reduced as the insulation was found to be in good condition and did not replacing. All the old roofing was removed and the area was left clean and tidy, the whole job being completed in one day. We would have no hesitation in recommending Saxon Roofing.

High quality work, professional and friendly staff. We had issues with our roof and chimney stacks during January 2021. This resulted in rainwater dripping into the bedroom ceiling. Saxon roofing came out promptly despite a heavy workload. Reasonable and transparent quotes given. Was shown photographs of the roof prior to any work being carried out. Roof repaired and chimney stacks taken down promptly and efficiently on our request. High quality work, professional and friendly staff. We are thrilled to have found Saxon Roofing, they are professional and very reliable and their work is of a very high standard. We had a new flat roof on the garage and general repairs to the main roof and chimney stack. John really impressed us, he returned calls immediately, called to discuss the work within days and started and completed work within the agreed time. It was taking me ages to find a roofer who would come out when promised and give me a reasonable quote for some general roof repairs. I initially sent Saxon an email and then followed up with a phone call - by this time it was just before Christmas and the recorded message said they wouldn't be taking on new customers until the new year. Which might seem like it would be a disappointment, but to be honest it was a breath of fresh air for a roofer to be honest about their capacity, rather than telling me they'd call round then leaving me hanging! John proactively got back to me just a couple of weeks later and came out promptly to quote. His quote was reasonable, he explained everything clearly and he was able to book the job in for a few days later. The first day was too icy but he kept in touch to let me know what was happening. When the work happened, his team found less to do than anticipated and John reduced the charge by a quarter. He also supplied several clear photos of the work along with the invoice. I feel relieved to think that I now know who to call when I need roofing work doing.

We first found Saxon Roofing on trust a trader and picked the company due to their good feedback. We were not disappointed. From start to finish the team were reliable courteous and professional. Their quote was very competitive, their work ethic was amazing all jobs completed within a week and to a high standard. The team cleaned up after themselves and took the rubbish away. I have had a few bad experiences in the past with Roofers. I had a number of issues with the roof and wanted to this time get it put right. John came out to survey and issued a very reasonable quote. Dave and Martin done the job over 2 days. Communication was excellent, everything was explained to me so I fully understood. Gave me great peace of mind. Their knowledge and experience were clearly evident. Nice guys doing a quality job for a competitive price. What more can you ask for? I would recommend these guys every time.

Just over 12 months ago, we suffered a leak in the bathroom which we attributed to roof damage. A roofing contractor visited the house, inspected the roof from the ground (his ladders remained on the van) and detailed a list of issues which would cost in the region of £1500 to repair. We sought a 2nd opinion and contacted Saxon Roofing. John visited the next day, inspected the roof and said it was structurally sound. The leak was due to a couple of slipped slates which John secured during the inspection. He refused to accept any money for the minor repairs. When we decided to have the current roof replaced, we contacted 3 companies to provide a quotation. Our preferred option was John & Saxon, however we wanted to ensure we were getting value for money. The price was extremely reasonable, and we informed John we would like to proceed with the works. John/Saxon started work on the agreed date, with his team arriving on site at 8am each morning and finishing at 5pm. John kept us informed as to what activities would be completed each day, and at the end of each shift his lads would spend 30 minutes cleaning the front and rear of the property. The lads took great pride in their work, and we're a pleasure to have around the house. The final costs of the works were as per the agreed quotation, with no hidden extras. The finished product is fantastic, and we couldn't be happier.

Looking to have extensive roof work completed we required a local organisation with a proven history of quality work and reliability backed by a guarantee. We found Saxon Roofing through Which Trusted Traders and subsequently met John to discuss the work required. We found John open and honest with regards to requirements and his subsequent quotation was supplied with a detailed specification of the work and materials required this enabled open discussion and a clear contract of work. Whilst the Covid-19 outbreak caused significant delay to the start of the work, when given the go ahead John project managed the work professionally and given the difficulty of maintaining supplies in these difficult times successfully completed an excellent job of work. John and his team were friendly and hard working. John encouraged ongoing review and discussion on the work done explaining any issues and providing possible resolutions as the work proceeded. On competition a full clean-up of the site was undertaken, including washing and testing the new roofs. Damage to a small number of paving flags on the drive caused by heavy vehicles and skips was also put right with replacement pavers. A job well done!

John really impressed us from the beginning by providing a detailed written quote, which no one else had done. As soon as we wanted to go ahead with the work, John organised everything and was great in communicating with us. John and his team provided us with a new roof, 2 windows and a full floating floor in just under 8 days. They were really punctual and efficient. The roof has so far withstood two storms and A LOT of rain. Really impressed, would definitely recommend!

It is a relationship of trust with a roofer because you cant see what is going on. I checked on Which for a recommended roofer and found Saxon. I thought I needed a big job doing but John advised me that things were nowhere near as bad as I thought. Amazing! He could have told me anything but he was honest. We had water coming through a flat roof and John came really quickly, gave us advice and a great price to complete the work. I also mentioned that last year I spent £800 and a lot of hassle trying to fix damp coming through a chimney and asked him to have a look while he was up there. He sorted that as well for a fraction of what I paid last year. He and his team are friendly, polite and most importantly do a great job. I can't recommend them highly enough.

John did a roof repair job for me a couple of years ago and we were very impressed by everything he did, from the fair price to the excellent work carried in in a very friendly and courteous manner, This time my elderly mother had a leak in the roof with rain coming into the kitchen. Felt I had made the right choice as soon as I met John.. They laid a small flat roof above a bay window which was badly leaking due to a ridiculously botched job by the previous house owner who laughingly owns a roofing business. Saxon were hardworking and competent and everything promised was done when it was promised and how it was promised without any drama and with a written guarantee. I wasn't aware when I asked for a quotation that Saxon were a Trusted Trader. I was pleased to see this on their van though. I got an honest appraisal of the work and afterwards received a favourable price. Communication throughout was very good and cleaning was provided, even the windows. There was an issue with the roofing over the bay which hadn't been included but this was resolved at no additional charge. I was highly pleased with the professionalism and would recommend the service to anyone and would happily use them again.

John from Saxon roofing has just completed work on our church roof and has done an excellent job. The quote he gave was very good and even though it took a long time to get the funds together (and more damage had occurred in the meantime) he was very patient and kept to the original price. A friend recommended Saxon and I initially used them when I had an emergency leak in my loft/ bedroom ceiling . I live alone and I was so impressed at John’s speed of reply and his remedy of this situation in my crisis that I knew I could trust him with a bigger job. Saxon has recently re-roofed my garage , both the traditional pitched slate roof and adjoining flat roof. He took great care to explain and deliver a finished product which was totally in keeping with our conservation area -this included choosing appropriate replacement slates and coping stones. Particular care was taken in choosing an appropriate velux window to replace an elderly lead lined roof light. The work was delivered on time and within budget by a good team who tidied up after themselves . Very impressed and would recommend without hesitation .

John of Saxon Roofing, fitted us in to a very busy schedule and did a sterling remedial job of repairing the slate roof, and replacing the lead work on our semi-detached cottage, which was built in 1803. The work involved handling extremely large slate, and required the craft and skill of someone experienced at working with old traditional methods. Paul - top man, knew what he was doing, and is totally dedicated to doing a job he can take pride in. Thanks Paul - great job!
