Scott Findlay Heating Engineers fitted a new combi bolier in our house, very pleased with the service they provided. From the initial visit to the house from Scott himself, to the various communications with Claire in the office, all first class. The day of the installation went smoothly with minimal disruption, and the team were professional and left the property very tidy at the end of the day. We had confidence in using a local company that specialised in a particular brand of boiler, and were happy with the price quoted. We used the one year interest free option which was very simple to set up and allows us to spread the cost. Would be happy to recommend.

From the initial visit by Scott, I was so impressed by his knowledge, his explanation of the work involved and the fact that he took into consideration that I am partially sighted, suggesting what could be done to help me, that I didn’t feel the need to get a quote from any other company. Although I thought that my elderly radiators would need to be replaced, I was assured this was not necessary at all. (Other companies would no doubt have happily replaced them unnecessarily, adding to the cost!) I was given a very detailed quotation, and kept informed when work would begin. Delivery of equipment was perfectly co-ordinated. The installers Brian and Cammy arrived when expected, were friendly, helpful, very efficient and worked their socks off. The work involved them not only in my kitchen, but also in a bedroom, the loft, under the floorboards, outside and in the garage. Yes, there were a couple of problems, but these were solved in a professional manner. AND they tidied up beautifully afterwards, leaving my home exactly as they had found it. All in all am very happy with the whole process and would definitely recommend this company.

From the first visit to the offices of Scott Findlay at Meadowbank to the commissioning of the new boiler, the whole process was carried out in a friendly, courteous & professional manner. All the staff were very helpful and explained fully the requirements for each part of the job. Regular updates were provided, job starting date arranged and text updates of which engineer was coming and when, were a big help. All the friendly engineers respected the requirements of the Covid virus and kept all the work areas clean, tidy and safe. They each provided an excellent standard of work. The new boiler is working perfectly and without hesitation Scott Findlay will be carrying out the annual services and any other additional plumbing & heating work required. This was the first time I had used Scott Findlay and they were very helpful and efficient from first to last. Simon installed my new oil boiler outdoors in an exposed location in challenging weather conditions. His hands must have been frozen, and there was no opportunity for him to come indoors for a warm and a hot drink due to the current restrictions. He was efficient and helpful and took time to explain all the features of the new system. My house is now lovely and warm. I am very pleased with the work and the result

From initial assessment, through recommendation, installation and commissioning of boiler, all works completed on time and according to estimate. We had our old, inefficient boiler replaced with an up to date Bosch boiler. Throughout, Scott Findlay did their best to accommodate our needs and were easily accessible to discuss the work to be done and when. They tried hard to fit us in to their schedule at a very busy time of the year and we are grateful for that - given the then sudden drop in temperature. The work has now been completed and we are very satisfied with the result. Throughout our dealings with Scott Findlay, we have been impressed with their professionalism in all aspects of our contact with them and would recommend them unreservedly.

I've just moved to Edinburgh and needed to get the boiler in our new home serviced. I found Scott Findlay's details on the Which Trusted Traders website which is always my first port of call for a new contractor. Every part of the service has been excellent from first contact through to the friendly and helpful engineer who was punctual even on a freezing cold morning.

We asked the trader to come and look at our house with a view to replacing the boiler.After the first meeting we then received the written quote and decided to accept this quote one of three.The work was to be carried out at the beginning of November and we were told that it would take 3 days,The trader had their workmen here early on the 31st October and worked hard to have the boiler installed and were complete by the 2nd November. They were very respectful and ensured there was damage to our house and they came across a problem re the pressure and discovered that there was not enough pressure in the house so had SGN here and came back on the 3rd to complete the job.
