Simon installed my new oil boiler outdoors in an exposed location in challenging weather conditions. His hands must have been frozen, and there was no opportunity for him to come indoors for a warm and a hot drink due to the current restrictions. I am a bit late with entering this review but Scott Findlay have just completed another job for us (repair of a burst pipe) which reminded me of how good their service is. Our boiler was declared "dead" last August after some incompetent repair attempts by the contractor (employed by a big name power company) to carry out a service on their behalf. Although Scott Findlay could not do the job immediately they were courteous and professional arranging an appointment as soon as they had space in the diary. Their quote was also £400 less than the other quote we received. We were very satisfied with the work done & the professionalism of the team who installed the boiler as well as the office staff we dealt with. I would recommend giving them a chance to quote for any heating/plumbing jobs.

We required an urgent replacement of our boiler as a fault had been identified by the fault codes on the boiler which caused the boiler to shut down; this was further diagnosed as a fault within the printed circuit board and required the heating to be re-established quickly due to being in the middle of a very cold snap of weather. We had two quotes for the work - Scott Findlay's arrived to survey the work on the Monday at the time previously arranged and had the quotation issued to us on the Wednesday Scott Findlays were just over £800 pounds cheaper than the second reputable gas boiler installation Company. From the date of accepting the quote to having the boiler installed was one day( We were fortunate that another job had been cancelled and that we were treated as a priority as we had no heating and have a child under 8 years of age). The team were amazing from the point of doing the survey to arranging the quotation, payment and installing the project. All on-site employees were compliant with Covid 19 working practices and were clean and tidy from start to finish on the Job - my rating is 10 out of 10- Excellent.

Had a new combi boiler and radiator installed. The work was meant to take 2 days, but due to Covid-19 there was a slight delay with the delivery of the radiator, nevertheless, the work was professional, the technicians were super nice and they made sure the installation was just perfect. The added value of having this work done by nice and professional people is priceless.

We recently had a brand new combi boiler and nest fitted by Scott Findlay plumbing and heating engineers Ltd after a family recommendation. From start to finish the service that was provided was 1st class, every individual we encountered was punctual and efficient. Simon who came out to give us a quote was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough and provided us we many different options. The two engineers Kenny and Brian who relocated and installed the boiler and lastly Brian who commissioned and provided the finishing touches were very professional and had a wealth of knowledge that allowed a seamless and pleasant process. With the current COVID 19 pandemic around I was a little nervous but everyone that entered our house were fantastic, they kept their distance, face mask were worn and followed government guidelines on keeping themselves and my family safe. We are extremely satisfied with the service and experience provided and we would not hesitate to recommend and use Scott Findlay plumbing and heating engineers again for future needs.

The company were so easy to deal with, yet totally professional. In doing a gas inspection of my flat, they had to condemn the boiler. I asked them foe a quote, which I thought was reasonable. Setting up the appointment was quick, and the work was carried out cleanly and professionally. They also found that a new pump was needed, but that's not surpring after 20 years. I'm happy to recommend this company to anyone.

Scott Findlay have just replaced our 23 year old boiler which they have kept functioning for us over the last 5 years with a modern condensing boiler.This required replacing the incoming gas pipe from the meter in the garden through the depth of the house to the boiler site at the back and we were very apprehensive about the likely disruption. We knew from past experience that they would do a professional job, but this was more complicated and involved several other trades. The main gas engineer, Cameron worked like a Trojan for three days and all the others involved arrived to schedule and each one did a first class job. Our house and garden were fully restored and all rubble and old equipment removed. Just to mention the before and after-we appreciated Scott coming out the week before to go through what we could expect and have always found Claire and the office staff To be both friendly and efficient.

From the first visit to the offices of Scott Findlay at Meadowbank to the commissioning of the new boiler, the whole process was carried out in a friendly, courteous & professional manner. All the staff were very helpful and explained fully the requirements for each part of the job. Regular updates were provided, job starting date arranged and text updates of which engineer was coming and when, were a big help. All the friendly engineers respected the requirements of the Covid virus and kept all the work areas clean, tidy and safe. They each provided an excellent standard of work. The new boiler is working perfectly and without hesitation Scott Findlay will be carrying out the annual services and any other additional plumbing & heating work required. Scott Findlay replaced the existing boiler and water heating system with a new combiner's boiler. Their work was efficiently carried out with little disruption and no mess, leaving the property as though it had not been touched during a major re-plumbing job. Their engineers were courteous and worked well with the social distancing rules in place in the day, wiping down surface touched with disinfectant wipes at the end of each day. On completion of the job the operating instructions for the newly installed system with efficiently and concisely explained. I thoroughly recommend Scott Findlay's services.

When water appeared leaking from the ceiling in my downstairs bathroom my heart sank. The suspect was my upstairs shower which had been the culprit 3 years before. It had taken months to trace the problem (leaking pipe at the back of the shower) and had cost a lot of money to fix. Here we were in lockdown. I checked sites such as this and picked Scott Findlay. They were operating during the crisis and had excellent reviews. Clare could not have been more helpful in organising a prompt visit. Kevin came and within minutes had diagnosed the problem, a sealant leak which could be easily (and cheaply) sorted. He fixed the leaking tap in the downstairs bathroom so that I could use that until he returned to fix the shower. Kevin came in with PPE on including mask, gloved and foot coverings, all the right things to wear (I should know, I work in public health). I cannot recommend them highly enough, friendly, efficient and great value. I won't need to look for a plumber again, I know who to go to.

When my elderly mothers boiler broke down on the 24th April I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to get it fixed during the Covid 19 lockdown. I called Scott Findlay as I had used them myself when I had a problem with my boiler. Thankfully they sent an engineer round within a couple of hours of my call and established that a new boiler was required. Amazingly they were able to source a boiler and managed to install it the same day (all while taking the necessary Covid 19 precautions). They advised me that they would have to come back a few days later to finish some pipe work which they did on the following Thursday. Everyone we dealt with at Scott Findlay couldn’t have been nicer. Thank you for the great service and I would highly recommend them.

The great reviews here prompted me to contact Scott Findlay to ask about replacing a cracked external waste pipe (3rd floor flat) and I'm pleased to say the reviews didn't let me down! Such a great company to deal with - can't express that enough - professional, honest and great customer service. I had to call Scott Findlay to fix a heating and plumbing issue I had never heard of them before but I'm glad I found them, outstanding customer service and workmanship everything explained so you know what you are paying for. Second annual service following installation of our combi boiler. As usual the process was very smooth from the initial contact in advance of the review right through to the prompt arrival of the engineer and the completion of the work.

My boiler 'died' just as home working/self-isolation was kicking off, which was wonderful timing. After seeing their reviews I decided to contact Scott Findlay for a quote and am so glad I did so. From the very first contact they were professional, friendly, and made it very clear how conscious they were of COVID-19 restrictions. So, as well as checking with me to make sure I had no symptoms, the engineer who provided the quote and installed the boiler took all the necessary precautions (wearing gloves; keeping a distance; etc.), which was very reassuring. Everything was taken care of seamlessly, from sorting out partial finance through to completing all of the registration forms with Worcester, and that allowed me to focus on working from home while the installation took place. I now have a whisper-quiet boiler keeping me cosy, and all with the minimum amount of stress. These guys are highly recommended!!

We have had an excellent service from all the team at Scott Findlay, from the office staff to the engineers. Everyone is very efficient and friendly, and I have been most impressed by the quality of their service and clear communications. Our initial job for Scott Findlay was to install a new boiler and radiators, and to have an old boiler flue removed and the roof made good. While their quote might have seemed slightly more expensive than others, in reality they were able to deliver exactly what we wanted, including a Worcester boiler with 10-year guarantee and removing the old flue and fixing the roof. In addition, Scott Findlay offer a finance option, which is extremely helpful for spreading the cost of a large piece of work. From quote to completion, I can't fault the service. The engineers arrived on time, were friendly and tidy, cleaned up after themselves, and got the work done in the time specified. I have already gone on to use Scott Findlay a number of times for other services and will definitely use them again in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We recently found ourselves with no central heating in a cold February and a ten-year-old boiler. Scott Findlay were prompt and helpful in assessing the repair costs for the existing boiler and then discussing the options available to either repair or install a new boiler. We opted for a new boiler as it was not cost-effective to repair the existing one. Scott Findlay are accredited Worcester/Bosch boiler installers and as this is one of the Which best UK reviewed boilers available - with a twelve-year guarantee - we decided to replace our old boiler with a new Worcester Lifestyle. Their engineers are very professional, and we very much appreciated that they took the time to explain boiler systems in ways we could understand. They checked that we had ancillary heating and water available before leaving the property. The installation was complicated by our boiler being attic based, the property being a listed, old building and the need for a gas meter upgrade and additional external gas piping, but all of the work was carried out effectively and, in the timelines, agreed. Our engineer even installed the new external gas piping while it was snowing outside. The office staff are extremely helpful, and the costs are clearly outlined in advance. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Scott Findlay as a first class, customer-friendly professional company who have carried out our plumbing and heating work to the highest standards.

Great service from initial face to face consultation on all options to final delivery. Combo boiler replaced, water tank removed, header tank disconnected, 6 rads resized and fitted, toilet replaced, WiFi thermostat fitted plus new controller fitted. Team were on time, polite, very tidy and considerate. Job was explained at every stage, we were consulted as needed. Budget was as discussed and submitted promptly. I can only recommend Scott and the team, they are without exception friendly, helpful and professional. Any very small issues were dealt with quickly and effectively.
