We have nothing but praise for the service we have just received from Scott Findlay and his team. At the initial visit to quote for the installation of a new boiler, Scott gave us the benefit of his professional and technical knowledge to answer any questions we had. He was definitely an engineer first and foremost and not a salesman; in fact, he was just the opposite to the latter, making sure that we did not have more work done than was necessary! He explained everything that he would include and why he would recommend it. His quote arrived promptly and from then on, our contact with Claire and her team in the office was perfect - every question dealt with promptly in a friendly, efficient manner - nothing was ever too much trouble. On the day of the installation, Brian, their engineer, arrived exactly on time and things just got better and better. Firstly, dust sheets everywhere to protect our carpets and furnishings then Brian explained exactly what he would be doing and he worked virtually non-stop all day. When he was finished, he checked over the whole installation and made sure that we knew how all the new equipment worked. He cleared away all the old fixtures and fittings leaving everything as it should be. Brian is probably the friendliest and most helpful guy we have ever had to do any work in the house. We would most definitely recommend Scott and his team, with no hesitation and will certainly use them for any future work. Thank you to the whole team.

From the initial visit by Scott, I was so impressed by his knowledge, his explanation of the work involved and the fact that he took into consideration that I am partially sighted, suggesting what could be done to help me, that I didn’t feel the need to get a quote from any other company. Although I thought that my elderly radiators would need to be replaced, I was assured this was not necessary at all. (Other companies would no doubt have happily replaced them unnecessarily, adding to the cost!) I was given a very detailed quotation, and kept informed when work would begin. Delivery of equipment was perfectly co-ordinated. The installers Brian and Cammy arrived when expected, were friendly, helpful, very efficient and worked their socks off. The work involved them not only in my kitchen, but also in a bedroom, the loft, under the floorboards, outside and in the garage. Yes, there were a couple of problems, but these were solved in a professional manner. AND they tidied up beautifully afterwards, leaving my home exactly as they had found it. All in all am very happy with the whole process and would definitely recommend this company.

Second time I've used Scott Findlay for a boiler replacement - initially for my own house in Feb 2018 and now for my son's new flat Sept 2019. Scott assessed what was required, quoted and then arranged for his team to complete the works. This time we had an additional requirement as we asked Scott if the existing radiators could be replaced but that when removing the old radiators could he allow us a week before fitting the new ones so we could wallpaper behind where the radiators were to be installed. Scott duly complied and the new combi boiler and radiators are installed and running well. I've no hesitation recommending Scott Findlay Plumbing and Heating Ltd.

Scott Findlay Heating Engineers fitted a new combi bolier in our house, very pleased with the service they provided. From the initial visit to the house from Scott himself, to the various communications with Claire in the office, all first class. The day of the installation went smoothly with minimal disruption, and the team were professional and left the property very tidy at the end of the day. We had confidence in using a local company that specialised in a particular brand of boiler, and were happy with the price quoted. We used the one year interest free option which was very simple to set up and allows us to spread the cost. Would be happy to recommend.

Considering we had shabby installation of our previous boiler when those plumbers didn't do a very good job and left all sorts of rubbish under the floorboards thinking nobody would ever find it, Scott Findlay and team were exemplary in every way and I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.

Had an old combi-boiler that had been in place since we moved in to the property, and had started giving us issues. Therefore, elected to have it replaced. Got a couple of quotes for replacement with a modern condensing combi, and given we have a young family wanted a reliable model with good warranty. Decided to go with a Woscester Bosch, which as a diamond accredited installer, Scott Findlay are able to offer a 10 year warranty on. Price wise Scott Findlay were coming in at a competitive price compared to installers able to offer similar boiler and warranty. As we had friends who recommended Scott Findlay after recently having similar work completed, decided to go with them. Installation was a smooth process. Work started promptly, completed to time, with everything tidied away at the end. Good communication throughout from organising the quote to completion. Obviously busy company as they had a longer lead-in time to start the work than some other companies. But as the work wasn't urgent for us, so we had no issues waiting to have it done.

We were very pleased with all phases of the work and the end result. We would recommend them from both the quality of work and customer service angles.

We employed Scott Findlay to install new boiler and upgrade heating. It was a big intrusive job but from start to finish the service was fantastic.Informative discussions at tender stage and amazing engineers who did the work on time and with minimum inconvenience going the extra mile. I have no hesitation in recommending this plumbing and heating firm. When my old boiler broke down and could not be repaired Scott personally came to the house and quickly put our mind at ease. I had been putting off replacing the old floor standing boiler for years because I thought it would be very tricky and expensive to do. Scott explained exactly what would be required to fit a new high efficiency wall hung boiler in the same kitchen cupboard as the old one. He quickly sent us a detailed quotation setting out how this would be done. His was by far the most reassuring of the 3 quotations I received. Where others said that they doubted that they could fit us in at short notice, he rose to the challenge and gave us an exact date and time the work would begin and how the various trades would be organised. And this is how it turned out to our complete satisfaction. Well done the Findlay team for the high quality of work they produced for us.

Just had new Worcester Bosch Combi boiler fitted by Scott Findlay Heating. What a fantastic team, arrived promptly at 8am on the prearranged date, the engineers work solidly throughout the day always conscious of your property and keeping you informed of progress. My installation took 3 full days this included replacing the gas main and flushing the whole system. When job completed I received full instruction on operating my new system and my house was left as found, all rubbish removed and debris swept up. My system is also covered by a complete 10 year guarantee. Highly recommend.

I had a new boiler fitted in my top floor tenement flat by Scott Findlay Plumbing & Heating. I had shopped around, read reviews and got 2 other quotes. Replacing a boiler is a big purchase! I wanted to get it right and find a company that would do a great job, with the minimum of fuss and that I could trust! I'm pleased to say I made the right choice. Scott and the team were all very professional and efficient, unexpected issues (it's an old flat!) that cropped up were quickly resolved with minimum stress to me. I recently had a new boiler and 3 new radiators installed in an old top floor tenement flat. I got quotes from various companies - but chose Scott Findlay because of the time he took to explain all the things I needed to consider to make an informed choice. The others told me little and I didn't know enough about the process to ask the right questions. The work started and I was immediately impressed - over the course of the job I had 6 or so different workmen in the flat doing various parts of the job and I can honestly say they were all, without exception, some of the best I've encountered. Why? Because they all took care to answer my questions, make suggestions and explain what they were doing. They were tidy and careful - did a splendid job getting under my old and fragile floorboards with the smallest amount of damage, putting everything back with care and attention to minimise the impact. Scott helped me get my radiators powder-coated (they look fantastic!) and choose fancy valves for them so they look beautiful in the room and fit with the decor. It's rare to find tradesmen who have a good eye for what looks good - and understand why it's important. Their communication was great all the way through and that's another thing that can make these sorts of jobs frustrating and is vital for ensuring there are no misunderstandings. All in all, I was very impressed: great quality boiler and radiators, efficient organisation, fantastic work ethic. I would highly recommend them.

We had an intermittent fault with our Worcester Bosch boiler and were also long overdue for a service. We had contacted 2 local firms for help..neither of whom bothered to turn up. Scott Findlay replied to our enquiry promptly and arranged an appointment for an engineer to call. Simon diagnosed and fixed fault quickly and then did a full boiler service which was carried out in a very efficient and professional manner. Great service. Thank you!

Kenny arrived promptly for my appointment, completed the necessary work and did not leave until he checked everything was fine. Place left spotless. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this firm.
