SD Roofing

Called by Tenant as a small damp patch appearing in one of the bedrooms near the roof. I got two Quotes one being with SD Roofing who had better quality pictures of the issue with flashing and a couple of loose tiles. Quote was back within a couple of days as stated. Was a good quote and work clearly explained. Work was turned around within a week of the quote and done to a high standard with after photos sent to me and work explained to tenants. Invoice was as the quote and followed in a timely manner with well layer out info. Will happily recommend and use again.

I am very pleased with the job to remove the leaking flat roof on a small square 'fill in' extension on my bungalow and to redo the roof deck and cover it with a rubber membrane. Simon and the chap who was working with him (I omitted to ask his name) had a good attitude and pleasant manner. Simon responded promptly to my initial enquiry. When he came to look at the job he explained how he would do it and gave me a quote that evening by text. We eventually managed to agree a date for the work that needed to fit in with Hospital appointments, Operations and access difficulties due to the house gas feed being renewed. He was very understanding and worked around my dates and kept me informed of his availability; he came to start the work as agreed and was happy for me to look at the work as it progressed and he explained what he was doing and why. He and his colleague appeared to work well together and completed the work that day with everything left clean and tidy. I found the price to be reasonable and am satisfied with the Quality of the work. I happily recommend him for this type of work.

Simon and his coworker replaced my leaky kitchen roof over a month ago now. I had to rely on a good roofer and so chose one with many very good reviews. To my knowledge, indeed, a very good job has been done and with good quality materials. Certainly, there are absolutely no problems, and I understand that the rubber surface roof will be more durable than the old felted roof I had. The job was done quickly, to what appears to me to be a high standard. Simon and his co-worker were pleasant and cleared up after the work. Communications with Simon were always polite, informative and professional. I would highly recommend SD roofing, no fuss, no complications and above all an excellent job.

This is the second time I have used SD Roofing (Tewkesbury) and again another brilliant piece of work by Simon - in budget and on time. The task was to remove a redundant chimney stack and re-felt, baton and tile the area. The quality of Simon's work is superb and he is so knowledgeable about what he is doing. To make things harder for Simon he was working on a snowy roof with temperatures below freezing. He completed the work in one day and one would never know there was a chimney there before. When the work was finished Simon made sure all the local guttering was cleaned from debris and they made sure the area below was left clean and tidy. I am full of praise and extremely delighted with Simons work and would strongly recommend SD Roofing for any roofing related work. You will not be disappointed.

This is the second time we have used SD roofing. They have done a whole new roof with guttering and fascia boards.Excellent service so used again. Second job was installation of velux windows and new section of roof created. Simon is 5*. Swift, professional and reasonable quotes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!

During the storms earlier this year the weatherboard to one of the roof slopes became dislodged and required replacing. With one roof slope dislodged our concern was that the remaining slope may suffer the same outcome. After contacting S D Roofing they undertook an inspection and advised that weatherboard to the other roof slope was fine and did not require replacing. They then prepared a competitive quotation to replace the damaged weatherboard which we accepted. Being a townhouse with the gable located above the garage access wasn't easy so a full scaffold was required. S D Roofing allowed for the scaffolding within their quotation and co-ordinated both its erection / dismantling with their own works keeping us informed at all stages with no hinderance to our neighbours. A job extremely well done with difficult access, we would not hesitate to recommend S D Roofing to anyone.

V satisfied with two previous small jobs. So employed Simon to extend front porch. He works quickly to a v high standard. Provides an excellent good value service.

In late April, in strong winds, a ridge tile came off my roof. I consulted a surveyor and found that all the main ridge tiles were in need of re-fixing and or replacement. Being a Which member, I consulted the trusted traders list and contacted Simon from SD Roofing in Tewkesbury. He was most helpful from the start and he visited my house, confirming that the main ridges did need attention. I had thought that another ridge over my garage might need attention, but Simon pointed out that it currently did not need any work doing. However the verge at the front of the gable end did indeed need work. The final work, including supplying the scaffold, was completed on 20th July. Overall the timescale was three months start to finish. I do not feel this was too excessive as the company had to cope with high winds and rain and then later the mega heat in early July. The finished job is excellent and was all completed in one day. I can thoroughly recommend this company.

Our roof had been badly damaged during past repairs to a parapet in 2008. Attempts to patch it up over the years had failed. SD Roofing recommended a new roof. They were flexible in their approach. They found the type of slate used along our terrace was different from what we had ordered, so they made sure we had the right material. They also addressed the concerns of a neighbour about the join between the houses, and this was very successful. They liaise closely with the scaffolders so the scaffolding arrives and leaves exactly when needed. They pick good weather - obviously important. They left a smart new weatherproof paintwork finish around the gutters. Working at very high level, 60 feet above ground, is no problem to SD Roofing! I thoroughly recommend them. Very pleasant and efficient.

Very pleased with all aspects of the work carried out. Promptly visited to review the work required, submitted competitive quotation and completed the work without any problems. Simon was always very polite and courteous and kept to his timing plan. Would have no hesitation in using him again.

I had previously employed Simon to replace some roof tiles and at the time mentioned to him that I was looking for someone to replace some rotten woodwork on my black & white house. He said he would be very happy to carry out the work as he enjoyed carpentry as well as his usual roof work. We agreed a fair price and he undertook the work to a high standard. We are delighted with the results and he left the site very clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Following a recommendation from a neighbour, I called Simon after having other quotes to repair our bungalow roof. Simons quote was reasonable and once the weather was better he started the job. Simon kept everything clean and tidy as he worked. Simon discussed with us what was and wasn’t needed and didn’t undertake any work that was not necessary. He revised the final bill to reflect this. I would highly recommend him. Really pleased with the work he’s done.

Excellent work and completed very quickly. The work was required from poor build quality on the roof. We had lumps of cement falling from the roof into the garden. Simon gave me a quote within a couple of days and scheduled the work in. He and his colleague completed the whole job in a day and there wasn't any mess or sign that they had been there except the roof now looking 100%. Also gave me the chance to look at the work from the scaffolding to check I was happy. Great service and the price was the best quote we received. I very much doubt if we had gone with the first quote, the quality of the work would have been as good. Highly recommended and would definitely use them again

I contacted SD Roofing on the morning of the sixth of May regards a blocked gutter which was causing water running off the roof to overspill into my front garden. That afternoon Simon turned up sorted the blockage in his usual efficient manner.

... Great job, done by SD Roofing ... new timber deck and rubber sheet membrane fitted to our flat roof complete with wall flashings, edge drip, etc. New roof covering looks superb. Work all done very quickly, efficiently and the site left tidy upon completion. Would use SD Roofing again.

Simon of SD Roofing you are fantastic at what you do, from initial contact to the finished product. Repaired our led flashing which was damaged from a storm.
