The two engineers covered all the working areas and then worked quietly and harmoniously together giving me a sense of their knowledge, professionalism and expertise as the day progressed. My questions were answered and they were keen to let me know exactly what had been achieved. I have no hesitation in recommending this family firm to others. They left everything in a tidy and clean state.

This is the second boiler replacement SDP have done for us (one at our home, now one for a rental flat) and they have been brilliant. The old boiler had completely broken down (no heating or hot water) and SDP came out to look at it, gave a reasonable quote the same day and had it replaced in less than a week. We have been using SDP Plumbing Heating Ltd for some years now and have always been extremely pleased with their work. We have had regular servicing of the boiler, leaks and repairs during this time. SDP put in a new Worcester Bosch boiler, which has a 10 year parts and labour guarantee. They were friendly, hard-working and professional. They do everything properly – i.e. power flushing the system, putting on a system filter and scale reducer, applying a cleaning chemical and central heating protector – to ensure the whole system is working at its best. They also had to do extra work (which they couldn’t have anticipated), which took hours and involved taking up floorboards and replacing pipework, at no extra cost. Boiler, hot water and central heating now functioning brilliantly. A thoroughly decent, local company you can trust, who take pride in their work and whose prices are competitive – couldn’t recommend more highly.

My heating had a blockage. Another company, no longer trading had botched a power flush and failed to properly fix the issue. Darren came at short notice to diagnose the issue and managed to find a slot the next day unbelievably to start work, even though very well booked. A well executed power flush helped, but did not totally solve it. He also fitted a magnetic box filter as we had none. Darren would not give up. Removing pipe work he found the badly blocked bits, replaced them, flushed some more. Pump replaced too. For good measure after running the system for a week with it working better than it had for years, he did a few nail chemical flush. The team arrived on time and worked steadily for the day. They were courteous and polite and were happy to discuss each stage of the work as they carried it out. Carpet coverings were laid down before they started work and each room was tidied and left clean before they left. They all worked efficiently together and showed a pride in their work. I would certainly recommend them to others.

The installer arrived, was smart, polite and got on with the installation of a gas supply to my newly fitted kitchen by joining the hob to the gas supply quickly. There was no mess, no fuss, no problems. I would definitely recommend this company and would be happy to ask them to carry out other work when I need plumbing or gas works.
