Having used Prestige Plumbers for the first time this week our experience was such that they will definitely be the people we call when next we need a plumber. Calum, the chap who did the work, is friendly and obviously knows what he is doing. It's great to have a central heating system that can now turn itself off again!! Office back up is very good also and we were kept up to date with exactly what time he would be coming so we did not waste long periods of our day, as so often happens with other suppliers.

I chose Prestige Plumbers as it advertised 24hour service (I called on a Saturday afternoon) and 'small jobs welcome' The receptionist answered straight away and was friendly. Jamie gave me good advice, told me upfront the cost, was very professional with a sense of humour. He sorted the toilet as well as the bath waste pipe. He was quick and efficient. I am very pleased to find Prestige Plumbers. I will use them in the future and have no hesitation to recommend them to others.

This was not a 30 minute job, which is what it should have been, but he got over the difficulty - which involved removing the large sink unit. Job done 1 1/2 hrs later - excellent. Was professional throughout.

Fixes to bath area and new loft tank float valve

We asked Prestige Plumbers to carry out re-grouting of a bath area (including replacement of plastic edging covering a windowsill) as well as replacement of the waste/overflow part. On the day we also asked if they could replace the float valve in the cold water tank in our loft. The office staff were very helpful in arranging a convenient date and time for a visit. On the day, Jamie - the plumber carrying out the work, phoned ahead to inform us when he would be arriving. On arrival he was very polite and clearly explained the work he was going to carry out. He began working straight away and diligently got on with the job. He also took care to clean everything up afterwards. He showed us the completed work and made sure we were happy with it pointing out that the work was covered by a 1 year guarantee. The work was completed to a very high standard which we were very happy with and Jamie was very pleasant to deal with throughout. We would definitely approach Prestige for any future plumbing needs we may have.

All I would say is check their prices first. He was on my premises 15 minutes, replaced a washer, said he was giving me a 10% OAP discount and charged me £80 plus VAT. For a little old lady on a basic state pension that is far too much. I feel taken advantage of as I had a leak and I was old.
