I have previously reviewed Phil Silverthorn's business, Silver Sparks Ltd, applauding his excellent work resolving persistent power failures. He has now reviewed my whole installation, fitting a new fuse-board. sorting out some extraordinary wireing and ensuring that there should be no further problems. He spent a full day working on it, and I consider that his charges were entirely reasonable. I would recommend Phil wholeheartedly; second to none.

I have known Phil Silverthorn for many years; he has done much excellent work for me, in particular when I moved house some ten years ago. Currently, I had to call him out twice (once in the late evening) to rectify a power failure. I have no hesitation in recommending Phil as a first rate Electrician.

Phil Silverthorne was required to add electrical circuits to our new house, including replacing powerpoint faces fitted with USB connectors, moving internet and powerpoints, enlivening a supply to the rear of the garden and installing a new consumer control unit, power and lighting circuits in the shed at the rear. All work completed to our satisfaction.

Having recently moved to the New Forest and in need of someone to repair one of our storage heaters, we were pleasantly surprised to find Phil from Silver Sparks. He attended promptly, was friendly and considerate and soon identified the fault. Having ordered a replacement part he returned the following week at the agreed time and successfully completed the job with no fuss. Based on this experience we would certainly use Silver Sparks again and recommend to others.

Having been let down by numerous electricians, Phil kept to his promise and arrived early morning to commence the work. Phil fitted an extractor duct system to our cooker hood, which we desperately needed done (not fitted by builders!). He was very clean and tidy and took the time to modify our cupboard shelf to ensure we had the extra storage space. All holes suitabley filled in with a gravity grill fitted externally to finish off the job. Phil also fitted a TV bracket to a stud wall. Prefect job. We have used this trader since 2015 when moving into the area. Has fitted house alarm, outbuilding lights, garden spot lights, sensor lights plus more. Recent work was to fit new oven requiring higher amp and electric hob point in readiness for when I change mind about gas. The work is reasonably priced and highly recommend his work.

The electrical work carried out by Phil Silverstone of Silver Sparks Ltd has been completed today on time to my complete satisfaction. It comprised the replacement of three electrical circuit panels by the installation of two state-of-the-art ones, the replacement of an obsolete wall powerpoint and the connection of a new electric cooker and the installation/connection of a new cooker hood together with the fitting of a replacement bathroom light switch. The preparatory arrangements were arrived at and the above work was carried out with optimal efficiency to a high standard in accordance with the programme in one day with the minimum of disruption to my normal daily routine at a reasonable cost. We needed to have two pendant LED ceiling lights installed in place of the basic lighting in our new build property. Phil arrived punctually (a touch before 8.30AM!) and carried out the installation working efficiently and tidily, and ready to discuss & explain features that were completely new to us. Electrician worked on our kitchen refurb. All work completed to a high standard leaving no mess. I was kept up to date regarding my appointment via email. I was also given an alternative day to complete the work should it be raining within the working week. Fitted a new, good quality shower - job was reasonably priced. Arrived on time, worked in a tidy fashion and took the old shower and parts away. I would recommend using the company.

Had to have electrical work completed following problems with a smart metre installation. Phil called to discover the issue and explained the work needed. The job was done very efficiently on time and he is very friendly and courteous to deal with. The bill is fully explained and a certificate for the work isissued. The bill was as quoted. He is now my go to person when we need electrical work.

Phil came checked what needed sent estimate clearly setting out what would be needed priced clearly..came on time on day to start explained to me all the places he would start..even advised on sockets were would be useful for me..found he very helpful advising me on best bulbs I should choose if and when needed..in all he was a real gent and as said very polite..when finished went through everything with me testing all was working cleaned up after himself let all neat and tidy...I would recommend him 100 % and have him to any more work for me in the future.

After being let down twice by electricians I was recommended silver sparks - I needed 3 lights put up - including one with a fan - which was not easy. Arrived on time - even texted to say on way. Very neat work and tidied up so no mess. Really pleased with the work and will recommend.

Silver Sparks is an excellent worker with a wide range of knowledge on all things electrical and some other building matters besides. He made some electrical wiring safe and conducted a review of the house electrics which, given our experience of him before, helped us sleep comfortable in our beds. He always works to the agreed schedule and budget and in the current case provide additional work, with budget, on issues he has found. He always explains things clearly for the lay person which helps decision making. I am usually reluctant to recommend anyone but Silver Sparks is the exception and I am happy to recommend him to anyone else.

Phil carried out a major re-wire of our 1920s bungalow. The work was completed in an exemplary manner, keeping us fully informed of his daily schedule so that we able to prepare accordingly. His advice and suggestions were very helpful, invariably improving the arrangements to our benefit. After numerous frantic calls to our electricity provider we were told to get an independent electrician in to provide us with a ''trace and label''. We recently moved to the area and our house had dated electrics and was in need of substantial work. We contacted a few electricians for quotes and Phil was spot on with his quote and duration of the works (we found Phil through the Which Trusted Trader). Phil installed a new RCD consumer unit for us along with rewiring the lighting circuit. We had several new lights and sockets installed, a new electric shower and extractor fans. He removed old lights and cables, door bell, extractor fans and moved a couple of switches for us. Phil also identified some issues when he came round, for example the gas central heating had no earthing straps so this was rectified. He also found a fault with the oven and rectified this (old wiring to oven was faulty and tripping new RCD) and so pleased he saved us from buying a new oven! Phil always arrived on time and was so tidy you would not have known any work had been done! He was very flexible with us and allowed us to make a few changes as we along with the work in the house. The work Phil carried out was to an extremely high standard and he is a very pleasant, knowledgeable and trustworthy person. We feel a lot happier and safer now that the work has been done, thank you Phil. I have no hesitation in recommending Silver Sparks Ltd and will certainly use them again.
