My old boiler broke down, and a call to Simon Barker Plumbing and Heating, prompted a quick response, and the workmen arrived exactly as promised, and carried the installation of a new boiler with efficiency and skill. The complete installation was carried out speedily and I am well pleased with the result. I recommend them.

My oil boiler locked out so had no heating or water. It happened suddenly with no warning. Pressed the override button which started it again, but it locked out again after a couple of hours. Repeated the process several times, but had the same problem. I called Simon Barker Services Ltd in the morning and the phone was answered very quickly. I explained the problem, and was reassured that they would get back to me as quickly as possible to let me know when an engineer would be able to come. I received a text message within 15 minutes to inform me that Simon would be with me that afternoon. Simon checked the boiler thoroughly and explained everything to me. It was difficult to diagnose an intermittent fault, so Simon adopted a process of elimination fitting a part that was most likely the culprit. He did explain that two other parts may also be causing the problem. Sadly the boiler locked out again after 6 hours. I phoned the following morning and Simon returned a short while later that day with the other parts. The boiler is now working fine. I was very impressed by the excellent and polite customer service, prompt action and the respect to my home. The failed parts were left with me to be examined by an engineer. They certainly were broken! I have no problem in recommending this family run company to others.

A nice family service with work completed to a high standard at a price which was agreed would fully recommend their service - job well done!

Had a new boiler fitted to replace my very old one. Jake and Callum arrived on time both days and were very pleasant. They made sure I could access hot water and heating whilst my boiler was out of commission. They did an excellent job, explained things and made sure everything was neat and tidy when they left. No hesitation in recommending them.

I have used Simon Barker Services Ltd 3 times. This time was to replace a very old oil boiler and cylinder to a combi boiler. As usual the Service was first class. I wish that there were more companies like this. The customer service is the best around, the whole team are professional polite knowledgeable friendly helpful and clean tidy workers. Our combi boiler was replaced over two days recently. Bradley spent some considerable time with us discussing what was required and how this would affect us. We also had some concerns regarding the existing boiler and how it had been set up which he said could be resolved. On the day, Jake and Shaun arrived promptly and set to work. As predicted, they ended the first day at 4.30pm. We knew that we would be without heating and hot water overnight but the electric heaters which they left with us kept us warm. They arrived promptly on day 2 and by 4.30 that afternoon the new boiler was up and running. It was clear they had gone to considerable trouble to resolve the concerns we had with the previous boiler and we are absolutely delighted with the finished result. 1st time I have used this company and I will definitely be using them again. My oil boiler was very sooty and not running correctly. The plumber did an excellent job and was professional and courteous. He soon had the boiler (which is a year older than him) running efficiently. I was very happy with the work and the price charged.

My stop tap was not cutting off the supply so had to get someone in. Appointment made for a few days ahead for early afternoon. Plumber rang me in the morning asking if he could come early as he was free due to missed appointment. Agreed time and he arrived as expected. Got straight on with the job and after realising it wasn't going to be a straight forward swap he had the pipework cut out and replaced, to me, in no time. Very good service from the company and the plumber. Left the work area clean and tidy. I will use this company again. Cost not bad either. Not out of line with what I expected.

When our boiler was serviced the plumber advised me to have the radiators flushed through as the boiler was 'kettling' which I didn't understand as not had radiators before but he told me what had to be done. He arranged for a quote to be sent to me and advised to have it done in the warmer weather as the heating would be off all day. The plumber that came to do the job was efficient, to the point of putting on slip-on covers on his work boots every time he came in the house. It was an all day job, he had to go in the roof etc. I had no idea it was such a big job (a woman of 78 I thought he attached a hose to the radiator and had a bucket to catch the water) My son had helped me move my blanket ottoman from the radiator and the plumber helped me put it back. The quote mentioned problems that could occur but there were no problems and the bungalow was left all okay when he had finished. He did say that when we had the new boiler - 2007 and not fitted by Simon Barker the plumber should have done the radiators then but from the mess he got out it was obvious it wasn't, and I would have remembered it anyway. I'm more than satisfied with the job and would recommend Simon Barker Plumbing and Heating to anyone.

I have used this company in the last three years for my boiler service, and have always find they arrive at the time they say, the workmen are always polite and clean up after themselves and I find them very efficient polite and give me advice on any queries I have, I can highly recommend this company to everyone.
