We were looking to replace an old PVC sliding patio door and window. We visited the showroom and was shown examples of the type of door/window and glass we required. We arranged a date for measuring up and then received a quote for the job. We were very happy with the quote and arranged a day for fitting. Square Deals use there own fitters, then came one morning and fitted the patio door and window. They did an excellent job and left the site tidy. We thoroughly recommend Square Deals Limited.

I used this company having reviewed other work on Which? Trader and I am so glad that I did. I had replacement doors and new windows fitted. From start to finish this company were very professional and have done an excellent job. On top of a first class service the price was also great. We were very pleased to use this company who were excellent from the initial meeting and quote to the completion of a new roof, the fitting of new window units and a whole new window. The workmen were pleasant, thorough, punctual and very proficient.

Square Deals did excellent work for me at my previous home. Today they fitted a new front door in my new home. It turned out to be hard work getting the old door frame off but they did a fabulous job. The door itself is brilliant and I'm more than pleased with it. The fitting was done with great care and attention and the finishing off, both internally and externally, is faultless. They very kindly removed the existing wall-mounted external mail box (I couldn't shift one of the screws) and they also pointed up the holes where it had attached to the wall - it's an invisible pointing job so I'm very pleased. I visited their premises in York twice and always found the staff very helpful - and patient - as I considered the options. Exceedingly delighted with the result and, again, impressed with all aspects of the process. 5* recommendation.

Square Deals gave helpful advice when choosing the doors; the work was undertaken within the forecast timescale, and was completed within a day. The two workmen were efficient and left the site in clean condition. The price was competitive. Highly recommended.

We had a dormer window and an ageing conservatory roof replaced. We were very impressed by the meticulous way in which both measuring and fitting were carried out.

This company replaced some 16 windows and patio door in our Georgian Villa. The design matched the originals, which were in various states of depreciation. Having obtained 4 quotes all from Which recommended traders, visiting their showroom and doing extensive research, we came to the conclusion that this company offered the best deal. The quote was considerably less than the others (they were offering 20% discount) and they were the only company who didn’t require a deposit, but payment on satisfactory completion. On such a big job this was extremely helpful due to the time from placing the order to completion. This was several weeks but in part due to our summer holiday . The workers turned up as arranged, 2 on the first day and 4 on the following 3. The whole job was completed in 5 days. The chaps were polite and hard working and cleared up really well at the end of each day. The completed job looks wonderful, and original to the house, so we are looking forward to a warmer winter!

I had 11 windows replaced and I was very pleased with the service from start to finish. Barry came out to give me a quote which was very competitive and he was very knowledgeable about the product and was the only person to mention the dummy sashes which I would recommend. I called into the showroom to look at the patterned glass for the bathrooms and again he was very helpful. I had a surveyor to measure up accurately then the work took place earlier than quoted. The fitters, James and Steve, did an excellent job and were very conscientious about putting dust sheets down etc. and a supervisor came to the house a couple of times while the work was underway to check that everything was going well. We had a number of conversations about the surrounds and sills so they ensured that I got the result that I wanted. The work was completed to a very high standard and I could not be happier. I paid the full amount on completion and would not hesitate to recommend Square Deals. I will use again when I can afford new doors.

It it the third time I have used this company, this alone says it all. Every time their team finished the job there was never any mess to clear up, very efficient and professionals. As well as no putting any pressure on me on their quote it states "invoice payable only on completion of work and complete satisfaction". I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them.

Square Deals responded quickly to our request for a quote, and happy to quote for both a double and triple glazed argon window. Our request to replace the windowsill with one that would be wide enough to allow for 100mm insulation added to the inside of the wall was no problem. They also took on board our rather complicated contact details - different numbers for different days of the week. The work was done quickly, efficiently and with minimal mess. My only quibble is that I would have liked the quote to have included the VAT.

We selected this company based on great customer reviews and have not been disappointed. The feedback received to date is well deserved. The service has been just excellent as is the standard of work on the finished product - a new front door and porch frontage. Communication was excellent throughout in all our dealings with sales, all appointments, measure up and then fitting. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Two bay windows replaced and a pair of french doors! Excellent process flow from initial contact to installation of what are very good products. Loyalty discount as returning customer. Contract paperwork straightforward, covering pertinent points and thoroughly setting out the business and quotation in plain English. Efficient work at premises carried out in a neat and timely manner with hardly any cleaning up after the polite fitters left. All debris removed from site for disposal. True, further visits were required just to finish off the work to the required standards. However, to this end there was no quibble to points I raised as requiring attention in order to fully accept installation and pay in full. High focus on customer service, quality of product and good working relationship with the customer. A local company that deserves to serve the city long term.

Superb product at a good price! From first stepping into the show room we felt very welcome and at no time was there any pushy sales talk, discussed our requirements, Visited a few days later to measure up for a quote, which was sent a few days later. Once we decided to proceed (possible 2 weeks +) we went to place the order, arrangements were made for the surveyor to visit who talked though our requirements, and confirmed our needs. Six to seven weeks later (as arranged the fitters arrived) who we found very friendly and very professional, the work was carried out to a high standard, taking great care no too damage decorations etc, the finish to our 2 bays and two other windows look excellent, we are really please with all the team at Square Deal Windows at York and would have no problems with fully recommending them to others.

This time we had 2 complete windows and 3 glazed sealed units replaced. The service was excellent from start to finish and it is a pleasure to have a friendly and dependable company on hand. No hesitation in recommending this company.

I had 8 windows and a composite door fitted by Square Deals. The door was a bespoke colour, but they were still able to start work earlier than the quoted date which was great. The fitters were very professional, always laying dust sheets and vacuuming up every time they left for the day. The windows and doors are even better than I had hoped for. Highly recommended.

This company was recommended to me and I haven't been disappointed . As usual I got 3 quotes for the same work (new door and replacement large windows ) and they came out the best. They delivered what I wanted even though it was "bespoke" to me. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The fitters were courteous and respectful - removing their shoes when coming into the house. Their work was excellent. I also had the benefit of not paying anything until the work was completed to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of having new windows or doors.

I've just had two new composite doors fitted by Square Deals and the quality of the product and their staff is still as good as it was five years ago when I used them. Such a refreshing change to find a firm these days who genuinely do give great customer service and back that up with skilled and polite fitters who have improved the look of my house so much. Superb product at a great price!! The company did not ask for payment, (not even a deposit) until the work was completed satisfactorily. This company is not remotely pushy or sales-driven which is very refreshing. The emphasis was on customer service and assisting us to find the right solution for our needs. A really first class experience from the moment I walked through the door at Square Deals in York. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who understand the meaning of 'customer service'. The boss personally made a site visit to measure up; the windows and bifold doors arrived on time; were expertly fitted; their operation properly demonstrated and final adjustments/snagging etc attended to promptly. My wife and I are really delighted. We shall be recommending you to others, indeed our builder showed The Smithy to a prospective client, yesterday, and he remarked that the windows were exactly what he wanted for his conversion project too. Team arrived on time and started immediately. We were having two windows fitted and a replacement sealed unit. The team were excellent and got on with the work and finished mid morning. Very satisfied with the work and would have no hesitation in recommending the company. The fitters were excellent and very pleasant.
