Steve did a fantastic job of rebuilding my bathroom, and I couldn't be happier with the result! The job involved tearing out the old bathroom and fitting new furniture, plumbing, and tiles, but also tearing out and adding walls to make a built in cupboard on 2 levels, as well as replacing the downstairs toilet. All of these were done to a very high standard, with extreme attention to detail, and all within the estimated time-frame. Steve was unfazed whenever unforeseen problems arose, and was always ready with solutions. Furthermore, he was always available to discuss any and all aspects of the job, answer any questions that we had in detail, and talk us through the process of each step of the work. I should also mention that it was a pleasure having Steve around the house; while I'm glad the job is done, I will miss the conversations over cups of tea! Overall, I would thoroughly recommend Steve to anyone looking to have any sort of work done, without hesitation!

We had been bothered with a water pipe that was banging against a joist for some weeks. It was in a bedroom and made sleep very difficult. Having had to wait to get the boiler, which we thought was the cause, checked by the Gas Board, it was only a week or so before Christmas that we realised we would have to find a carpenter to look into it. Thanks to Trusted Traders and by good luck, I found Steve. It was only a small job but fiddly: removing fitted carpet and hard board and then getting under the floorboards to find the problem and working out how to cushion the pipe. Steve was very busy and only got to us at 3.30pm on Christmas Eve but he set about the job with great care, found and sorted out the difficulty and left things all neat and tidy, at 6.30pm on Christmas Eve, when he could easily have said it was too late. It helped a lot that Steve is familiar with all the building trades and not just carpentry so he knew how to locate the problem quickly. What an act of kindness as well as professionalism! I could not rate him more highly. He will be top of my list for any future work we need to have done.

Steve recently fixed a leaking shower for us - and by 'fixed' I mean removed the enclosure, carefully removed the tiles, improved the stud work, replaced the damaged plasterboard, replaced the tiles and refitted the enclosure. He did an amazing job - and even sourced new tiles that were apparently out of stock everywhere - and we're really pleased with Steve's QC and attention to detail. It was done to schedule and budget and Steve was a pleasure to have around, as he always talked us through his daily work and answered any questions we had. Steve has also done a few other jobs for us over the years, from carpentry to plumbing and plastering, and he's always impressed. He's now our go-to builder for any improvement or repair work we need doing. Highly recommended.

Steve did a brilliant job of the Utility room. His craftsmanship is precise and very accurate. He is very professional and we would recommend him to anyone in need of carpentry work. Thank you Steve, we are very pleased with the work you have done.

We booked Steve to fit our new kitchen earlier this year and he has done a great job. There were a few unexpected issues surrounding our plumbing and some electrical work, but nothing fazed Steve and he sorted these out quickly and to a very high standard. Everything was done in good time, and each part of the job was explained to us and Steve showed off all the neat tricks and bits he'd done that other workmen wouldn't bother with. Cabinets and worktops were installed, new lights installed, a new sink installed and pipework behind the sink and washing machine tidied so the washing machine would sit flush under the worktop, something it never did before! Steve also moved our cooker switches from being in a cupboard to being on the wall, and tiled the walls under the units. Steve also did our floor, which we forgot to mention in our original quote, but he fitted this perfectly and very quickly. On top of being a highly professional and talented tradesman, Steve is also a nice person to have around the house, always happy for a quick chat over a cup of tea and to explain what he's doing. He keeps everything very tidy at the end of each day. The work was done quicker than anticipated and whilst the quote increased a little due to the request for flooring, this was explained in advance and we were happy with the initial quote and overall price paid. I can't recommend him highly enough, he has absolutely transformed our kitchen, and it is now perfect.

We did the usual and asked 3 builders to quote us to replace our bathroom and en-suite. Steve was the only one who didn’t advise we just rip out the old and replace like for like. Steve came up with ingenious ways of hiding existing pipe work in the flooring and after taking down false walls, replacing flooring and removing ugly housing around the toilet etc we have now have a lovely modern en-suite with a considerably larger shower area. Steve helped us all along the way advising us on what brands to purchase and types of tiles to use and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. Steve is 100% trustworthy, a really nice guy and pays meticulous attention to detail to make sure everything is done right. The job took around 8 weeks from start to finish and considering the amount of work involved in the transformation. We are happy with this. Steve even managed to come in under his original estimate which was a bonus and demonstrates the integrity of the man. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Steve if you need your bathrooms renovated.

I asked Steve to come and sort out a problem with the doorway to my house, based on his Which Trusted Traders reviews and, if I'm honest, his helpful manner on the initial phone call. He arrived as agreed and worked steadily and logically to put things right. He was efficient, professional and courteous throughout the work. I thought they'd stopped making craftsmen like Steve and was happy to be proved wrong. He was friendly and took a real interest in getting things just right, explaining what he proposed to do as he went along and discussing with me the different options. Would I use him again and recommend him to others? Definitely.

Steve stopped a toilet in my house leaking by switching off the water supply to it. This is all I required in the short term as I have several other toilets in my house that I can use. He also demonstrated to me how to switch the water supply to the toilet on and off, how to remove the faulty part from the toilet and how to fit a replacement part that I could order. He did all this while maintaining the current rules on social distancing. I was very impressed by Steve's willingness to help, his professionalism and his very pleasant manner.
