I had my 2 chimneys inspected and swept for the first time in over 16 years and I found Sweepsmart via Which. I asked for a means to review the job as I was very pleased with the communication before and after and the job itself. Paul is very knowledgeable and shares his knowledge to help customers. He even talked himself out of sweeping the 2nd (unused) chimney! He was very careful to keep the place clean, explained what he would do, shared his photos and findings with me and gave me advice on other related matters. I would 100% recommend Sweepsmart for professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and capability.

Our old chimney sweep warned us that there was a block in our chimney and suggested we get a chimney sweep with cameras. Having found Paul from Sweepsmart via a search I was delighted how efficient the appointment booking was. Subsequently, Paul found a severe blockage in the chimney which he managed to clear. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and loves his job. I would highly recommend Paul and his team.

From the beginning dealing with Smart Sweep was incredibly easy and very professional. They helped me understand the type of service I needed and were able to make a booking for the following week. Paul came to our apartment today to clean and inspect our chimney. He arrived on time, was friendly and very efficient. I was particularly impressed with the care and attention he showed in preparing the room and keeping the noise down to an absolute minimum (which given two of us were working from home that day was much appreciated). After cleaning and inspecting the chimney, Paul gave us a verbal report and a plan for installing our new fireplace. The written report will be sent later today. Paul left with room spotlessly clean and I will be engaging smart Sweep to install our fireplace this summer. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I contacted Paul having seen the numerous outstanding reviews he had received with a bit of trepidation because it seemed a bit too good to be true. However, I am delighted to say that my experience was equally extremely positive, with every aspect of the interaction and the work done being excellent. He clearly knows his stuff thoroughly, and we discussed the options at each stage of the work - all explained and costed in a clear and transparent way and with no high pressure sales technique. He was very professional, and inspired full confidence in the work he carried out. The main part of the job was to install a flue and stove in a Victorian house. He carefully retained the mantelpiece, and dealt with a couple of unexpected problems (including a crumbling wall behind the hearth!), retaining the character of the fire-surround but enhancing it with the new stove. The work was done with minimum inconvenience and dust. He attended to all the necessary paper work. I would not hesitate to employ him again.

Paul and his colleague did an outstanding job of installing our new wood-burning stove. They arrived on time, were extremely respectful of the house (putting down dustsheets from entry to the fireplace) and kept us in the loop with their progress. Was a delightful experience from beginning to end. I was informed all the way from a first phone call (with a very pleasant young lady) to the actual appointment. I had my cowl refitted (the last one blew off in the wind) Paul and his assistant were very pleasant and very covid aware(good practice). Floors were covered and work done with great competence. Paul even replaced rope inside the door of Woodburner, leaving stove much better! I am delighted with this service and the cost! I would thoroughly recommend this company

My first experience with a chimney sweep and will definitely be using SweepSmart again. Easy to arrange at a very competitive rate. Excellent communication in advance, and after, of visit including tracking capability allowing confidence in arrive time. Very slick operation using what appeared to be top of the range equipment. Great interaction including detailed answers to all my questions about the process and other capabilities. Left area cleaner than it was before visit. Highly recommended.

This is the second year we have used SweepSmart and both times have been exactly what you'd want. We got an email a couple of days before to remind us and a text on the morning to say exactly when to expect them. No mess was made and they had the equipment to replace a cracked firebrick for us. We'll be using them for as long as we have a chimney!

Paul arrived at the agreed time and carried out the chimney inspection/sweep, he did a thoroughly professional and comprehensive job, he was polite and informative and left my home free of any mess, which given the nature of the job was pretty impressive. We hired Sweep Smart to sweep and check our chimney after moving home. They were very professional and knowledgable, talking us through their findings. The soot was totally managed so everything was left clean.

Tony arrived on time and fully observed the current covid precautions. I was therefore in another room while the work was carried out so did not observe the cleaning. However, I am satisfied the work was carried out as stated on the certificate and all was left clean and ready to use. I will certainly book them again next year.

When I rang Sweepsmart in December the lady who answered the phone was extremely polite and courteous and very helpful. Paul and his colleague arrived when they said they would, had emailed me in advance just to make sure all was well and when they arrived they got on with the job without any fuss. They inspected, tested and cleaned the chimney all within two hours and they had sent me their report by the end of the day. Excellent service and I would definitely recommend them and will be asking them to come back next year.
