I have used SweepSmart for the last few years and have always found them to be reliable and professional with the service they offer. Beginning with the ease of arranging an a date and time for the team to attend, through their website to the helpful reminders and updates (on day of visit) of estimated time of arrival, you are kept informed. The cleaning of my wood burner and chimney was thorough and carried out with care and attention. I am always impressed with the preparations the team put in place to pick up all the ash and any other detritus, as well as preventing any of this from spilling out whilst they go about their work. An important point with a stove located in the living room! After the team has finished all you are left with is a small bag of ash to go into the bin for disposal. Again another good clean with the burner ready for use once more. I will use continue to use SweepSmart and am happy to recommend them to others.

Excellent service and a friendly guy. Arrived early and within the window given. Laid down floor coverings from the front door to the fireplace, thorough clean with zero mess. Took about 40 minutes, checked CO2 monitor was in place and in the right position. Gave us advice on airflow to burn the fire a little hotter. Certificate arrived by email an hour or so later. Very happy 5 stars.

I purchased a house with a log burner in it a year ago. The previous owners recommended Paul on the paperwork they left so it made sense to give him a call. I found Paul very tidy, thorough, with good advice. Very easy to book and communicate with and he was very punctual. Left the fire very tidy and laid down carpet protection. Will definitely be using again.

Thanks Paul from sweepsmart who swept our chimneys and carried out a CCTV inspection on one of our chimneys. He was professional and polite. He helped to advise us on a number of things including an issue we may encounter if we were to install a log burner. We would be happy to have him back again.

Sweepsmart has once again done a superb job doing our yearly sweep of the chimney and checking over of our log burner- this year we also needed the door rope replaced, which Paul did for us even though we hadn’t booked that specific job in. I don’t and wouldn’t use anyone else and highly recommend Sweepsmart. Paul fitted our log burner 3 years ago and comes every year to sweep and make sure it’s good to go and safe to use for the winter months ahead. Superb service, prompt, clean, friendly, value for money and hassle free and Paul is a great guy who is a pleasure to have in your home. Thanks Paul- see you next year.

I had my 2 chimneys inspected and swept for the first time in over 16 years and I found Sweepsmart via Which. I asked for a means to review the job as I was very pleased with the communication before and after and the job itself. Paul is very knowledgeable and shares his knowledge to help customers. He even talked himself out of sweeping the 2nd (unused) chimney! He was very careful to keep the place clean, explained what he would do, shared his photos and findings with me and gave me advice on other related matters. I would 100% recommend Sweepsmart for professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and capability.

Our old chimney sweep warned us that there was a block in our chimney and suggested we get a chimney sweep with cameras. Having found Paul from Sweepsmart via a search I was delighted how efficient the appointment booking was. Subsequently, Paul found a severe blockage in the chimney which he managed to clear. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and loves his job. I would highly recommend Paul and his team.

From the beginning dealing with Smart Sweep was incredibly easy and very professional. They helped me understand the type of service I needed and were able to make a booking for the following week. Paul came to our apartment today to clean and inspect our chimney. He arrived on time, was friendly and very efficient. I was particularly impressed with the care and attention he showed in preparing the room and keeping the noise down to an absolute minimum (which given two of us were working from home that day was much appreciated). After cleaning and inspecting the chimney, Paul gave us a verbal report and a plan for installing our new fireplace. The written report will be sent later today. Paul left with room spotlessly clean and I will be engaging smart Sweep to install our fireplace this summer. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I contacted Paul having seen the numerous outstanding reviews he had received with a bit of trepidation because it seemed a bit too good to be true. However, I am delighted to say that my experience was equally extremely positive, with every aspect of the interaction and the work done being excellent. He clearly knows his stuff thoroughly, and we discussed the options at each stage of the work - all explained and costed in a clear and transparent way and with no high pressure sales technique. He was very professional, and inspired full confidence in the work he carried out. The main part of the job was to install a flue and stove in a Victorian house. He carefully retained the mantelpiece, and dealt with a couple of unexpected problems (including a crumbling wall behind the hearth!), retaining the character of the fire-surround but enhancing it with the new stove. The work was done with minimum inconvenience and dust. He attended to all the necessary paper work. I would not hesitate to employ him again.
