My name is Terry Cobb i am the owner of T Cobb plastering, I have been plastering for more than 35 years. I have covered all aspects of plastering including Solid Plastering, Rendering, Floor-screening, Plaster Mouldings and Stucco Rendering. In the past 14 years I have worked for a building company carrying out general building works (including NHBC) in Homes, Schools, Hospitals and Churches. In 2010 I decided to branch out on my own creating T Cobb Plastering.

Terry repaired some large cracks in my hall and stairway, and replastered it all, including using a new type of insulating plaster in the lobby. He left the site clean and tidy every day, was always polite and friendly, arrived on time and finished the job a day early. I would definitely use him again.

I needed someone who could plaster my downstairs bathroom and box up some piping. After a couple of timewasters, Terry provided a selection of dates and advice on when and what he would do. His quote was competitive. Terry arrived promptly and did everything to a very high standard, extremely efficiently and tidily. Everything was explained. Terry was a great find. He replaced chimney flaunching and external render. Arranged the scaffolding and undertook the work exactly as quoted and on time. Spent a further two days replastering failed internal plasterwork. The quality of his work appears excellent and the cost, fair. Great communication and a nice man to deal with. Overall the whole process was simple, straightforward and no fuss. If only everything could be like this. Would happily recommend.

Terry Cobb has recently completed removing an en-suite bathroom for me … he removed the wall, arranged plumbing removal, and created a new wall where the door had been and plastered on both sides, replaced coving and skirting and the ceiling. His work was excellent and he worked non stop … he was tidy and considerate. His rate was very reasonable and we are 100% happy. Highly recommended!

Refurbish window wall in dormer bedroom

We asked Terry to propose the best way of dealing with damp on the window wall, which is over a hundred years old. Terry came up with a practical and cost-effective approach to deal with the cause of the damp and refurbish the inside of the wall. To ensure that a replacement radiator could be securely hung, he first put in 3 wooden supports underneath the window. He then removed the old plaster, added a damp proof membrane and new plasterboard and replastered the wall. He is professional, tidy and agreeable.

House Side Wall Rendering Repair

The external render ing on the side wall of my house had developed a crack and needed to be repaired. Terry chiselled out the damaged rendering around the crack, repaired the brickwork underneath and then re-rendered. Finally, he repainted the whole side wall of the house so it all looked as good as new. The work was done to a high standed. Terry is very professional and friendly; I have no hesitation in recommending his work.

Terry recently worked on my study ceiling - overlaying new plasterboard onto the old one and then plastering. Took 2 x half days to complete. Very pleasant, calm and no fuss attitude with very reasonable prices. Covered up work area with plastic and tidied up afterwards. Would use again.

Renovating my house and needed 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and small hallway plastering/skimming. Terry came in to quote and came across as a very competent and polite tradesman. After a quick chat and look at the work he was able to provide a quote at a very reasonable price. When booking he went the extra mile to accommodate my timeline for works. He came in and was very cheerful on the job, worked efficiently and was happy to give advice as I was doing other DIY tasks around the house. The work he has done is to an extremely high standard with no sanding or extra prep work required for me to do prior to painting. I'd strongly recommend him, and will be asking him to plaster the rest of the house when it's ready.

Terry has just finished a significant amount of work in my house and I’m absolutely delighted with the job he has done. The work included taking down a supporting wall (including building the supporting piers for the steel RSJs and cladding them) and plastering many ceilings and walls (including fixing underlying problems that caused the original plaster to crack). Terry is a very experienced and skilled tradesman and he has done a great job - the plastering is perfect. He was reliable (turned up everyday), punctual and polite and, as much as you can be with this type of work, tidy. His price was fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend Terry.
