Martin and Clement did a really great job on a difficult project to adapt a bedroom to a home office which involved very precise carpentry and fitting work and some real imagination and creative thinking. They really embraced the project and were completely solution-oriented and committed, staying till late on three nights in a row to get the project completed. Madeleine at TMG's office is excellent too.

The Maintenance Guys (TMG) replaced my Kitchen Mixer Tap which had fallen into serious disrepair. The repairs became urgent when it became impossible to turn off the cold water supply. After isolating the water supply to the Kitchen, I faced the daunting task of finding a Plumber at a price I could afford. The service provided by TMG was excellent. It included the collection of a new tap of my choice from a Supplier, removal of the old tap and installation of the new one. The attending Plumber was punctual, competent and efficient. The invoice was less than the estimated cost of the works. This is the second time I have used the services of the TMG, and they have become my preferred Contractor.

Hi, The Maintenance Guys were extremely professional with clear communication on timings and costs. They were also really friendly and helpful in the main office, turning round a request swiftly. Ellis who fitted our cat-flap to our front door was great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We had bought a new flat and wanted some advice on what we might need to do before moving in. Jamie came and had a proper look at everything, and gave us excellent advice on a number of different jobs, with clear and transparent pricing. We ended up having a new boiler fitted (with Hive), a room redecorated, an electrical check, and various other jobs (dealing with some damp / some other jobs). An unexpected plumbing issue caused by some previous poor building work also came to light, and Jamie was fantastic in advising us as to what we needed to going forward, and frank about avoiding unnecessary costs. The team (especially Mark, who did a lot of the work, and James, as well as Jamie) worked long and unsociable hours to get the work done before we moved in, and everyone who came to work on the flat was very professional (and lovely). From our perspective, what was also so brilliant about Jamie and his team was that they were able to advise us on a number of different things, and had the expertise within the team to sort them out. We also felt that we could trust them. And Madeleine in the office was fantastic, and the company was prompt and responsive from the beginning to the end. We will definitely leave them in future.

First class plastering, painting and joinery job on Victorian house entrance hall, basement and kitchen walls, ceilings and cupboards which had been opened up to lay electric cables. Careful protection of floors and shelves etc from dust and so on. Thorough preparation of areas to be plastered and then painted and filling and sanding cracks elsewhere on surrounding walls giving a really smooth and precise finish. Plus careful painting around ornate ceiling cornices with good paint choice suggestions that have really lifted the look of the space. All this takes some time but I now have a new looking hall and kitchen spaces. Efficient website booking system with facility to upload photos and specifications for the job.Strongly recommend.

Maintenance Guys, got back to me the other two company’s didn’t. Ellis came and gave me a quote. Really nice, straight talking guy. Called and fixed date, time. Really tough for all equipment, tools as I’m up four flights of stairs. Plus his own vacuum! All cleaned up around. A v heavy cupboard door rehung. Kitchen door top sanded so it closes properly. Old wall and sink cupboard doors replaced. Ellis had to go and get the wood cut for them. All fixed. Good hinges plus silvery cupboard door knobs. Lovely. Good price. Happy to pay. Ellis would only charge for time here! Not for getting wood cut etc.

I found the Maintenance Guys through Which Trusted Traders. We needed both an electrician and a gas engineer because we were having a new dual fuel cooker installed. It required a 32 amp socket and 6 ml cable to be installed as well as the existing gas cooker to be disconnected so it could be removed and the new one reconnected after delivery. Maddie in the office was really helpful in booking and coordinating the guys that we needed. We were really pleased with the professionalism of the guys and the quality of the work they did. Both Christian, the electrician, and Greg, the gas fitter identified other problems and issues that needed resolving and they were able to straightaway sort these out and fix them. A gas issue required Jamie (the owner?) to visit and the Maintenance Guys were able to complete the necessary worth quickly and competently. I have no hesitation in recommending the Maintenance Guys. We were very happy with all the work they did for us. They were extremely competent, friendly and very capable.

This company is a rare jewel in the trade. Punctual, hardworking and skilled professionals that are gifted problem solvers and most importantly, honest and cost efficient. You're in safe hands with these guys!

I found the whole experience with The Maintenance Guys very satisfactory. I never felt under pressure to have the work done. The work needed was explained clearly. Options where presented in a manner that meant I was able to choose the amount of work/expenditure I could manage and budget for.

A blocked outside drain was causing terrible back up and smell The job entailed replacing some old pipework A thorough job and replacement pipe was not an excuse to overcharge Very satisfied with these professionals

Both workmen were highly proficient and very knowledgeable. The carpenter was meticulous in searching for further bits of rotten wood as well as removing and replacing the original piece. The painter then did a thorough and careful job to complete the work.

I cannot recommend these 'Guys' enough. When my boiler pressure kept falling and I had no heating or hot water, I naturally went to my insurers for help. After sending out no less than 4 engineers who all gave me different interpretations of the problem and suggested different solutions-some very expensive, including replacing my 2 year old boiler, I lost faith and turned to a Which accredited firm. I found The Maintenance Guys to be courteous, prompt, efficient, hardworking and they kept me informed throughout. Importantly, they were very thorough. They started at the beginning , checking the boiler thoroughly and found it was in perfect working order and the problem was somewhere else in the system. They then checked absolutely everything and repaired small problems as they went. They eventually found the major leak which was in a relatively inaccessible area but they managed to find a very good method of repair without needing the major works I was fearing. They made good and cleared up thoroughly afterwards. Greg and Jamie are an excellent team, and I trusted them completely, not only with the job but also in my house. Now, a month after completion of the work the system remains up and running, works perfectly and I haven't had to boost the pressure once.

The installation was completed quickly and efficiently. All aspects were explained clearly. Although it was quite a small job, I felt it was treated seriously and considerately. With a little more communication upfront, I would have given 5 stars across the board.

It was the first time I’ve used TMG and shall certainly be using them again. From first contacting them, they were easy and friendly to deal with via email/text/phone. Their prices are fair for London and Greg was professional and very careful with not bashing any walls when removing the broken-up cupboard and tidied up well. He arrived promptly and did the job in the time estimated and the final price was slightly cheaper than quoted, as only one person was needed instead of two. As it was a small job, I was fortunate they could do it the same week. I would highly recommend them - good handymen are hard to find these days. Thank you Greg!

We just had Christian install a backlit art piece and a bathroom cabinet. He couldn't have been more professional and friendly. Everything was cleaned up, he asked if we were happy with the work. Needed to replace by laminate floor after substantial water damage from a leak. Found TMG through this site and one they were prompt at coming back on quotes but also the work they did was to a high standard and done with diligence at a fair price. Additionally fixed some minor other issues for me. Would, and will be, using again to do some more work as they were so good. Massive thanks to Clem and the team who came.

I found The Maintenace Guys through Which Trusted Traders and was very pleased with their work. They turned up when they said they would and got in touch when arrival was delayed. The work was carried out pretty much exactly to the time expected and Jamie was extremely helpful, all the workers involved were polite, tidy and competent. Some extra jobs were done as well which I was also very pleased with- removal of a wooden structure (falling down) and repair on a sash window. The wooden structure involved a neighbour and I was very pleased and impressed with the handling of these negotiations as they were potentially very tricky. I would use them again

Greg called on us to carry out a full Gas Safety Check and to replace the mastic in our shower. He arrived on time, was polite and cheery throughout, and completed the work to our full satisfaction, and at a fair price. We were fortunate to discover Jamie and his Company a few years ago, and have had a number of repairs and installations carried out by them. On every occasion we have been completed satisfied with their work, and it has been a pleasure to have such reassuring, courteous, and knowledgeable professionals in our home, and who we can trust to do a great job. Based on our experience, we would have no hesitation recommending them to others.

Greg was amazing. We had another plumber round to look at why our shower didn’t have any cold water and they advised removing the tiles and replacing the system. Greg assessed the shower and cleaned the filter and now we have a fully functioning ensuite, and this took less than one hour. Thank you Greg!
