Craig and Brad were absolutely fantastic start to finish, arrived bang on time, no hassle at all, and fitted great new carpets to the two bedrooms. They worked hard and did a brilliant job getting the two rooms done in one day. They even removed all the heavy furniture including the wardrobes and bed which was a massive help. Absolutely marvellous from start to finish. Craig is very friendly and supplied lots of samples for us to choose from and left them with us so we could check in daylight and at night. The underlay was carefully chosen to let the wooden floor underneath a breath. The room was emptied and refurbished by Craig and his workmate. The rest of the house flooring was protected. The work was carried out efficiently. Just fantastic from start to finish. And reasonably priced!!!

Just had new carpets in our through lounge, snug, hall, stairs & landing. We chose a crofter 50oz heritage 80% wool carpet with the help and expertise from Craig. They replaced all the underlay, gripper rods and planed the doors to fit. Excellent workmanship, can't rate them highly enough.

Thorner Flooring have recently fitted three bedroom carpets for us. We have used many carpet suppliers and fitters over the years and can honestly say that this company is second to none! From the start Craig was extremely informative and helpful. We agreed a price and fixed a date for the work to be done. Both the price and the time taken for the job was exactly as we had been told. Craig and his co-worker were both pleasant and polite. We had been concerned about the upheaval regarding moving furniture and dismantling the three double beds but Craig said to leave it to them. We were astounded! The job was completed and bedrooms left clean and hoovered with the minimum amount of disruption. Even the landing, hallway and staircase was hoovered! We will definitely be recommending them to family and friends - indeed anyone we come across that is looking for carpet suppliers.

Craig fitted laminate flooring in the kitchen and previously carpeted the rest of the house. With each job, he has patiently worked with us to find solutions to fit our requirements and budget. We have used Craig for several years for our flooring needs - great considered advice and personal service, so when the Tennis club hut needed a new floor we turned to Craig as always. The difficulty in these extraordinary times is be able to source your choice of flooring - luckily we were successful and Craig managed it all in a day!! It looks great and everyone is very pleased. Craig's service was professional from start to finish. He fitted carpet in our loft conversion bedroom, two staircases and landings. Craig fitted all new grippers, underlay and doorstrips, planed doors and removed all waste from site. He was swift and courteous when making arrangements to come to our home. He returned messages quickly and, for both quoting and the work itself, he came precisely when he said he would. Craig respected our home and did a quality job. Craig is a really nice guy and goes the extra mile to ensure complete client satisfaction. He comes highly recommended.

Following our house being flooded we required extensive repair work. All work was coordinated by Craig. The work was completed to a fantastic standard and very promptly. They went out of their way to solve problems and kept the work progressing. I was given lots of choice and advice. I was kept informed throughout. We had our stairs and landing carpet replaced and also the laminate flooring in the hall and lounge. From start to finish, the service was exceptional and the attention to detail was first class. Craig responded the following day after my initial enquiry and immediately arranged to come round with sample flooring for us to view. He gave us very helpful advice about which flooring works best. He and Paul the joiner completed the new floor and skirting installation on time and to a high standard. They even offered to modify our bookcases for us so they would fit above the skirting board. Everything was left spotless. We would definitely use their service again.

Craig helped us choose an appropriate carpet. He is an outstanding carpet fitter and solved technical problems (e.g. how best to butt the carpet to a wooden floor area) with great clarity and skill. He was always friendly and a pleasure to welcome into our home. We've absolutely no hesitation in recommending Craig.

Following Trusted Trader reviews, Craig visited us with samples of wooden flooring and carpets and was knowledgeable, helpful and patient.The first day which entailed the fitting of a wooden floor was complicated by the presence of a floor to ceiling bookcase which he removed and on returning it, he secured it professionally to the wall against which it had sat for many years. The second day began well, until the old carpets in the lounge were removed, and it became obvious that the skirting boards were not painted at floor level and that a strip of unglossed wood would show after the new carpet was laid. After some discussion, Craig came up with a plan. He and his assistant, Billy, would do everything except lay the carpet, which included securing a number of loose floorboards. I would ensure the skirting was painted that evening (after the two of them had rubbed down the skirting before going home early), and they would return first thing on the third morning to lay said carpet. This happened as planned and only then was payment (at the original quote) requested. It follows that when next any flooring is planned in this house, Craig will be first through the door. I have unreservedly recommended him to friends and family, and I do so now to all Trusted Trader readers.

This is the first time I have used Thorner flooring on recommendation and wont be the last. Highly skilled floor fitting, knowledgeable, friendly, and the team take their time (unlike many other carpet services). The finishes on a complex hall, stairs and landing carpet fit were beautiful and I am very happy with the service. Five +++++ stars and comes highly recommended.

Fitted Classic Oak natural laminate floor to hall and lounge, as well as vinyl in the kitchen. Work had to be delayed due to a problem that was identified when the old laminated was lifted. Craig was very helpful, giving advice regarding the way forward. Flooring now fitted and it looks amazing. Whole apartment now refurbished (carpets fitted in both bedrooms in October 2018). Craig brings a good selection of carpets, laminates and vinyl samples to allow customers to make an informed choice. He is very knowledgeable and makes suggestions that you wouldn’t have initially thought of. When the work is completed, everywhere is left clean and tidy. All waste is removed from site. Very reasonably priced and work carried out to a very high standard. Once the work was agreed, Craig was happy to fit in with our suggested start date. Time taken to lay the flooring was to the agreed schedule.

Craig and his team have recently fitted both hard flooring (Quickstep laminate) and carpets throughout the majority of our house. They look fantastic! Craig and his team were a pleasure to have around the house while the works were being completed and went the extra mile, even offering to take apart heavy items of furniture which we were then selling on. They moved items around with care, saving us a lot of heavy lifting and were extremely neat and tidy going about their work. Job started and completed earlier than scheduled. Job done was perfect. Everything was left tidy and clean after. He has worked for us twice before.

Craig, ably assisted by Billy, did a great job laying laminate flooring in our bedrooms, but we knew he would because we'd already used him a year ago when we had the same Quick-Step flooring in our lounge and hallway. We'd have no hesitancy in having Craig back but we've run out of floors for him to do!
