Established in 1998 Thornton Electrical (London) Ltd has attained a steady growth in business and reputation across North London and Hertfordshire. We carry out all electrical work from electrical inspections, testing and reports, to complete system design and installation, intruder alarm systems and emergency lighting systems. We are experts at working in varied environments including schools, Sports/ Leisure Centers, Public houses, retail outlets and residential properties.
We offer a friendly and professional service and are totally committed to providing our customers both new and old the highest quality workmanship at all times. To enforce this commitment to our customers we are registered NICEIC approved contractor and Domestic Installer. This guarantees all our works are carried out according to the most current regulations and standards. We also follow strict Health and Safety practices and hold a Public Liability Insurance. Asked this company to undertake various jobs at one of my rental properties including changing a damaged power socket, sorting out a new electrical supply for then fitting a new electric hob, plus carrying out change of tenant NICEIC inspection. Found them to be responsive to phone calls, turned up when agreed and carried out the work efficiently to a high standard clearing up as soon as they had finished. I dealt with Richard who was pleasant and helpful, answering my many questions with obvious knowledge of his trade guiding me to a solution that was legal and cost effective. Would happily use them again for similar work or larger job

My old fuse board was changed for a new fuse-board and a new cable was run to my summer house for garden lighting. Richard and Tom explained the job clearly, were obviously very experienced and the work was done cleanly in the planned time. Really can’t fault this company. They have been operating for 20 years and it shows. I would highly recommend them.

An excellent service was afforded by Thornton Electrical. during work carried out in autumn 2014 and Spring 2015. My whole kitchen and bedroom was re-wired when it was renovated, an up to date circuit board was installed and an extractor fan in the bathroom. The whole of the house for checked while the work was being carried. The service was efficient and carefully undertaken to the best standard I could have ever asked for. During the kitchen refit the electricians fitted in very well with the kitchen fitter and he himself was most complimentary and impressed about the knowledge and service of the electricians. The service was always prompt, courteous and very reliable. Helpful and useful advice was given about electrical equipment and types of fittings which could be used. We are more than happy with the work carried out and would have no hesitation in recommending Thornton Electrical to you.

We have used this company several times now but most recently for a larger job. They are efficient, cost effective, professional and a pleasure to have in your home. A special thank you to 'Jamie', one of the electricians who came to our home on several occasions, he is polite, cheerful and has a lot of patience. In addition nothing was too much trouble for Steve and his workers. We would definitely recommend this company and certainly use them again.

Thornton Electrical provided a very professional service. They assessed what needed to be done regarding modernising the electrics in our church to conform to the latest legal safety requirements and suggested alternatives to improve our heating system. They were always punctual, gave clear advice stating the options and benefits, worked unsupervised and cleaned up after the job all in a friendly, helpful way. The work was completed on time with no money paid until I was completely satisfied with what they had done. I cannot praise them highly enough and have no hesitation in recommending them.
