Harris Heating

Had a major emergency on the morning of 29/05/2021. A wood pigeon fell down the chimney and got stuck behind the gas fire. I rang the mobile number for Harris heating and spoke to the owner, Trevor Harris, who happened to be on call. He arrived at my house within the hour, removed the gas fire and released the bird which immediately flew off to the nearest tree. He then tidily replaced the gas fire. Excellent service by a very nice and knowledgeable chap. Thanks Trevor! 🐥

Contacted following condemned boiler, via 'on your doorstep ad' Follow up call within 10 minutes. Video call for problem. under covid guidelines. Est. quote within an hour of call. Replacement boiler. Customer service exemplary. Treated like a 'critical' customer. Harris team passionate about restoring heat initially, for which I was forever grateful. Had been without for 2 weeks. Harris team could respond & repair within a week. Amazing. All before Xmas ! Replaced boiler in the day. Transpired my plumbing was not all is should be !! Returned following day (Saturday 12th Dec), determined to work out what was not working & nothing to do with Harris Team. They wanted to achieve achieve they did. Further work required, which Harris completed thankfully. Thank you to the Harris team. Professional, knowledgeable, experts, customer service experts. Needless to say - one happy customer.

The quality of the work was good especially in view of some of the difficulties encountered in routing of the new flue and boring / filling the associated brickwork. Prior to operations, plenty of sheets were laid to protect carpets and furnishings etc. The install team were professional and courteous at all times. I am very satisfied with the work and the new boiler is working perfectly.

The engineer Karl was very efficient and followed all covid safety regulations perfectly. No issues in getting the job done and the quote was as originally discussed on the phone when booking the appointment.

Just used Harris Plumbing for some maintenance work. Must say that I have been highly satisfied with their quality of service and repairs (Fitting of new bathroom pedestal taps and shower hot water control cartridge. Labour charges were a little high but would use them again when the need arises. Thanks again.

My old boiler gave up the ghost and I rang Harris Heating @ 08:00am on Saturday morning. The job was assessed and work to be done agreed by 09:00am. A detailed estimate was received & accepted by 11:00am . As promised Jay and George arrived and worked straight through into the evening to install a new condensing boiler, new pump, new control valves and a modern control panel They drained and flusher the radiators and had the system up and running before leaving. Through out the day they were a pleasure; thoughtful, polite and totally professional. I was very satisfied with the end result and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Engineer arrived on time, even on a Saturday. Fixed the issue with confidence even though it was bigger than expected.

2 new radiators fitted Job booked and able to accommodate for a Saturday which was perfect for us to fit round work and our little one. The day had to be changed due to one of their workmen being of sick but able to accommodate another day straight away. They were to turn up at 11 and get cracking. The two workmen turned up on time and very friendly. Very conscientious of our little boy (18 months old) who was asleep at the time. We had the two radiators in the lounge drained, removed, pipes re positioned and replace with new ones. We were able to leave them to it and estimated a good couple of hours work. They did everything that was mentioned, completed on time and so clean and tidy. When I came to check what had been completed it didnt even look like they had been! Very impressed having never used the company before and would definitely recommend to anyone needing this kind of work done. Thanks again guys! Cracking job.

I had a new boiler installed and some of the flow and return pipe work as I wished to remove the partition wall on which the original pipes were installed. I also had a new radiator fitted and some pipe stubs removed. This firm did what they said they would do from agreeing to give a quote to completion. They were punctual, tidy and pleasant, completing the job in the two days quoted. The new equipment was explained to me and the system was tested before they left (unlike another firm who left me with a squelchy floor!) I am very pleased with the job, there has been no need for heating but the hot water is better than it has been for a long time, heats up faster and has a better pressure. I will certainly employ this firm again when I am ready to have the gas supply altered.

The work, consisting of bathroom and en suite tap replacements, was completed to a high standard, the two plumbers were friendly and helpful and completed the job in just a couple of hours. I have already recommended the firm to friends for future reference. After unhappy experiences with previous plumbers it's good to have found a reliable firm at last.

The annual boiler service- Paul turned up first thing just as promised and carried out the work quickly and efficiently.He noted a missing guard on a flue pipe that needed supplying and arranged for it and even swept up afterwards leaving the cellar tidier than it was before.

What can I say about Harris Heating, other than, exemplary service and that is not an overstatement. I called them yesterday and today at 1.30, at a time they said they’d be here, the engineer arrived. We’ve recently moved homes and the boiler in the new house didn’t seem to be working right? Nick (the engineer) had the boiler stripped down and working a treat in under an hour. We are now enjoying piping hot water and heating when we need it. Have no qualms about recommending Harris Heating, and I’m certain you won’t either.

We have just had our boiler serviced. We have a system with boiler downstairs, expansion tank and immersion tank upstairs. Paul serviced the boiler and also recharged the expansion tank we had been missed with other engineers who had been out in the past. Not only was Paul efficient but he was very informative as we felt something had been missed by other companies who had serviced it in the past. It was quick and easy to get an appointment. Paul was friendly when he came. He also used his shoe covers which some engineers forget to do. Will definitely use again next year for our annual service and recommend to others.

We hired Harris heating to install an outside tap. We had concerns about cupboard space for fitting it and they were more than happy to come out and recon. Came to do work on Saturday. Paul was really great explaining everything he was doing. Had some issues but that's cos of our pipes. He worked around it easily. Took longer at no additional cost. We had a slight drip after (our plumbing not their work) but Trevor was around in less than half an hour and fully checked the work. Fully recommend.

I have used Harris Heating twice now, the first time to get some gas pipes connected to an old meter moved which involved going under floorboards and to get a new tap fitted and then today I have used them to get a leaking radiator fixed. My husband called Harris Heating based in Yeadon as our boiler wasn’t giving us hot water. Within three hours a plumber and his apprentice arrived to look. An hour later the fault had been identified and the part needed was ordered. The very next day Nick arrived promptly to repair, replace the part and thoroughly service the boiler. Nick was excellent all round, and even used his own vacuum to clean up the debris! Courteous and efficient at a reasonable price. Would recommend Harris heating.

My hot tap stopped working and when i tried to take it off to fix it, the screw sheared off. Harris could have had a new set of taps out of me, but instead Paul fixed the problem for me and sent me a very reasonable quote for a new set of taps when I was ready. They send you an invoice via email and you can pay online which is really convenient.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Harris Heating, in particular the speed that they were able to send an engineer. The thermostat on our boiler needed replacing and they were able to come the day after I phoned. We had the boiler serviced as well as having a new thermostat fitted. The engineer was very friendly and professional. He completed all the work to a high standard and was neat and tidy. Once the new thermostat was fitted he spent time explaining to me how it works. Overall I was very pleased with the service and will definitely use Harris Heating again.

There was a long delay in obtaining a part needed to repair a leaking toilet. However I was very happy with the plumber, Paul. It was an unusual model of toilet and there was access difficulties but he patiently researched what needed to be done and successfully completed the repair. I was also impressed with the punctuality and the fact a text message was sent in advance of Paul’s arrival.

We were given an appointment time and had a courtesy call fifteen minutes before Paul arrived on time. He dealt with our problems quickly and efficiently and left the bathroom clean and tidy. Thank you Harris Heating.

Fantastic service as ever. It’s been a year since Harris Heating came and installed our new boiler after our other failed just before Christmas. As it not only heats our house but our hot water as well, we needed it sorted quickly. Trevor (Harris) came quickly, quoted competitively and got his team to come and install two days laters. Prompt, reliable, very personable and cleaned up afterwards, the job was completed to a very high standard. Rang Friday to organise my first yearly service - Monday 8am, Chris and Ben arrived and did a great job making sure we were sorted for another year. I run my own joinery and Home Improvements business and when customers ask me about heating, I always recommend Harris Heating!!

We called Harris Heating out to fix our stop tap, which would not turn off. We were trying to change washers on our bath taps. The office staff answered my call late on a Friday, arranged an appointment quickly and advised on how to limit damage before the engineer attended. The engineer arrived on schedule, sorted a complicated repair and the boiler is now good as new. I couldn’t have asked for better service, they were brilliant from start to finish. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Harris Heating helped me out of a hole last minute when our original engineer cancelled on us (due to sickness) a few days before the job started. They matched the price we were quoted which was very reasonable considering some of the quotes we had been given by other firms. The work included the firing of a Viessman combi boiler as well as installing a new 22mm gas supply. The work was carried out effortlessly and efficiently by the team. the engineers were very polite, knowledgeable and professional which made the whole experience easy and worry free. We had a problem with our boiler that other plumbers, and workers from the gas board, had failed to diagnose. But Harris Heating worked methodically on the issue, explaining their thinking at every step. They seemed genuinely invested in helping us out and had the skills to do so. The job was to replace a broken gas tap to the gas fire in the living room. This turned out to be more complicated than first expected as the fireplace surround needed to be removed to allow access the the broken tap. Despite the job proving to be bigger and much trickier than he had anticipated the TP Harris engineer remained good humoured and professional throughout removing the fittings very carefully and later replacing them and cleaning up after himself. The fire and gas cooker in the kitchen were also checked for leaks (which we had been concerned about) and serviced. Everything was done very thoroughly and advice given on the operation of the cooker to avoid what we had thought was a fault.
