About

We are a leading independent stairlift company with a first class reputation for customer service, safety and quality. Our head office is based in West Yorkshire and we cover the whole of Yorkshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire for stairlift installation, repairs and servicing.

As a company, we operate and adhere to a NO pressure stairlift sales service. We don't employ sales people, cold call people or use pushy sales tactics and all our stairlifts are clearly priced online. Our staff are experienced stairlift people that are on hand to help. Our aim is to be able to offer a clear and straightforward service with no pressure.

We operate a 24 hour response service and have a large network of stairlift engineers. All our staff are fully qualified, highly experienced, friendly and polite.

Contacted the company by email on Saturday evening, not expecting a response until Monday. We were contacted the next day (Sunday) by Lynn, who arranged to visit us the following afternoon. She was friendly, professional and explained all the options very well and nothing was too much trouble. She is a credit to the company. She knew we were wanting the installation as soon as possible and hoped to arrange it for the Friday, but explained it could be early the delivery week after. We were delighted to get a call on Wednesday, offering the installation the next day. The engineers arrived when promised and completed a very tidy, quick and efficient job. A full demonstration was provided. Again, they are a credit to the company. We cannot recommend Unicorn highly enough. They are truly outstanding

We called Unicorn due to the health of my father. We were told that getting a stair lift for our "curved" configuration would take months. A clear hire option for 6 months was given to us- clear pricing. They came out on the same day (Justin) to take measurements and were able to offer installation within 2 days responding to our needs. No hard sell; no pressure. Unfortunately the health of my father deteriorated rapidly to the point of not being able to use a stair lift - they were equally responsive to our needs. I cannot recommend them enough. If you find yourself in a difficult situation on needing rapid and caring response...do consider contacting them- it was one less thing to worry about especially for non straight stairs.

The purchase, survey & fitting of a stairlift, all communications were excellent, full explanation of choices & prices. Survey and work completed promptly. Staff liaised with clients family throughout. The fitter demonstrated & explained the stairlifts functions, and numbers left for contacts if we needed any further support. I would recommend this company highly.

The engineer did a brilliant job. He made no mess, and after the stair lift was fitted, he explained everything we needed to know about how to operate it, the safety aspects and after care service.

I had a stairlift installed previously a few years ago but was not happy with the previous company. Unicorn were very informative and installed an appropriate stairlift that we needed. Their customer service was great and they were very efficient
