Sadly, due to escalating operational costs, we have had to put our Area Day price up to £49.00 per chimney flue. We have tried everything not to put our price up and THANK CUSTOMERS who understand our Area Day pricing, helping to keep the price down and save the planet, little by little. Proudly keeping customers SAFE, at a fair price. We still believe in social distancing as it is an extension to our normal safety measures. We check your carbon monoxide alarm is working and positioned correctly. We carry out smoke test two to check your appliance is working safely.

I found the details of this company at the HETAS website. Initial contact was made by telephone. The phone was answered promptly and politely. We had a brief discussion about the work needed scales of charging and an appointment was arranged at a mutually convenient time. On the arranged date Robert arrived punctually. He worked in a methodical and efficient way, completing the work within 30 minutes and leaving no mess. His friendly and knowledgeable manner inspires confidence. I have recommended the firm to a neighbour and expect to use the service again Spring.

Needed my wood burner removed to retile the hearth, the company that installed it requested I do it myself, not thinking this was the best thing to do, I called around and found Robert from Chim-Me-Sweep, he offered advice on the phone and then came over the next day. He decommissioned the fire there and then, was very helpful, clean and explained what he had done and why. Very professional, accommodating and would definitely use him again. Highly recommended.

I thought I had an issue with the bird nest on one of the chimneys. Rob arrived on time and did a great job, luckily there was not a nest and the chimney is drawing really well now. He is very friendly, clean and tidy and very Covid aware. Highly recommended.

Very happy with service. This was the first time I had Robert carrying out the work for me as I followed a friend s recommendation. To stop jackdaws nesting I needed a cowl to be fitted, after clearing the chimney. I booked Chim-me-sweep; he arrived dead on time, carried out the work, with difficulty bringing down a ball of twigs two feet in diameter. He dressed in PPE, wore a face-mask, laid protective material over my carpets between the front door and the fireplace, and was quick, efficient and polite throughout, cleaned up and offered good advice during discussion. When he left there was no trace that he had been, other than a clear chimney and the bundle of twigs at the end of the garden. I would unreservedly recommend this firm.

I had an annual chimney inspection with smoke test and clean. The trader communicated clearly in advance what would happen on the day, and what the requirements were to be Covid secure. The job was carried out very efficiently and there was no mess at all. The trader was friendly and explained the service very clearly, as well as providing advice on how to arrange the wood to achieve the most efficient burn. The cost was also very competitive. We will certainly use this trader for next year's inspection.

We found Robert via Trusted Trader and were impressed with his reviews. We were further impressed when upon phoning to speak with him to arrange a visit he was very helpful in trying to resolve the major soot smell we had encountered in our lounge (prior to him being able to visit). He text us to confirm the visit two days before and this was especially reassuring during these covid times. He uses full PPE and is happy to give advice and answer as many questions as you have. He gave solid advice on positioning our carbon monoxide monitor. We will defo be using him again after the season has finished for a further sweep.

He explained extra information to us including carbon monoxide regulations and new best practice on lighting a fire for a greener environment.
