We have used AP Ward extensively over the past few years for jobs ranging from the large (completely redoing kitchen and bathroom), medium (soundproofing small bedroom), to small (removing rubbish and fixing gutters). At each turn, we have been impressed by Tony and team's high standard of work and dedication to resolving any issues that arose during or after completion. Tony is extremely approachable and knowledgeable and gave us great insights for all aspects of the various projects. He has provided very thorough and fair quotes for the standard of work and during/ aftercare service. Timelines were very tightly stuck to. As first homeowners, we don't know where we would have been without Tony and the team having been stung a couple of times with sub-standard work from other traders. Thanks a lot, Tony!

I have used the services of A P Ward for over fifteen years for a variety of different types of work on a number of properties and always found them to be helpful diligent and trustworthy. The work is always carried out within agreed timescales and to a high standard.

I was extremely pleased with the work done to fix my guttering. It is sometimes difficult to get anyone to come for the ‘smaller jobs’ so was thrilled with the speed of service offered. The workmen were prompt and courteous. I have used this company before and fully intend to use again.

The end piece of our roof guttering fell off in the recent storms. I found Tony Ward's name (and reviews) on this website and called him. He quickly gave me a quote and arranged for someone (a very friendly person) to come and do the work a few days later. The job was done to the agreed budget fast and well, and we're very pleased with it. Communication was excellent throughout. I will contact them in the future for other jobs I have in mind. I had a blocked sink and thought it was a major job but they soon resolved the problem by connecting the outside pipe back to the drain. This is the second small job they have helped me with recently and plan to get their help in the summer with my outside paintwork. Always helpful and friendly.

Very happy to recommend Tony Ward. This was my first ever property purchase and never used a building contractor before. Mine is a Victorian terraced house and work included a knock-through between living and dining rooms; almost whole house being re-plastered; rewiring most rooms; new radiators, architrave, coving, skirting boards, painting ceilings and so on. An intimidating prospect for a first timer like me (and someone who can't put up a shelf). As a member, found Tony's details and previous recommendations on Which? and very glad too. Tony and his first class team did a fantastic job with lots of high quality work. He's also very good and patient about adjusting the job if I changed my mind about my initial ideas, which I did occasionally. And most helpfully, he ensured I was regularly kept fully briefed about running costs and budget so there were no unexpected surprises at the end. A very professional job all round. And a great team of guys to work with.

A waste pipe leaking from our upstairs bathroom was in a difficult position to access for repair - so much so that we had been let down by several contractors including one recommended by our Insurance company! After many months we began to wonder if it would ever be fixed. Then I finally found Tony's company via Which Trusted Traders - he came round, assessed what had to be done and within a week had arranged for scaffold to be set up along the side of the house and had the necessary repair done to a very high standard. Then other members of his team completed the redecorating work required inside the house due to the original water damage - again to a very high standard and our agreed specification. Tony would visit during the work and on completion of each phase to ensure everything was going to plan and to our satisfaction. Price was as agreed in advance and the work was done with as little disruption as possible, very clean and tidy. We would recommend him for any general building/maintenance work and will certainly be using him again.

I needed some guttering repairs. Tony and his team provided a quotation quickly, and the work was completed efficiently. During the work, Stuart took loads of pictures so I could clearly see what work had been done, and what the problems were. I would certainly use A P Ward building services again. Recommended.

AP Ward fitted a new bathroom for us in Sep 2018 and we were very happy with their work. This morning, a screw within the shower door came loose and a glass panel was hanging off precariously. I called Tony and within 2 hours he had someone come round to fix it, which was great service and much appreciated.
