Active Plastering

After a bit of a disaster removing old tiles needed some help fast to avoid a project stalling completely. Chris responded immediately , gave an estimate within a few hours and fortunately for me had a cancellation that I could fill on the next day. Arrived bang on time and did a great job for a fair price - I hope to use Chris on the other projects we have planned for this year . Fully recommended!

We had to solve a damp problem in a bedroom. Chris and his co-worker dealt with the damp problem and raked the wet plaster, installed insulated plaster board on two external walls. They then plastered them before painting the whole room. The work was done with ultimate professionalism throughout. What we liked the most about the team is that kept the house fairly clean throughout the work and helped restore the surrounding areas to their former state before leaving. Finally, Chris is very communicative. He kept us informed about the work even during the plaster drying period.

Active Plastering have just completed installing 20sq m of new ceiling and plastering an area of the wall. The work was completed on time and I was impressed by the diligence of the workers, their care and attention, together with the time spent clearing up both at the end of each day but especially on the completion of the work.

Active Plastering team completed the installation of a new ceiling as agreed in one day with the minimum of disruption to the household. The new ceiling is excellent and ready for painting in a few days. The team were helpful and careful in moving furniture and the whole area was meticulously cleaned before departure.

We search first on Which Trusted Traders because we have always had good experiences and no hassle with the suppliers we have used. Chris Flack of Active Plastering Ltd was no exception, who has just completed decorating our lounge and dining room (January 2023). Chris visited us to assess the work and quickly provided a detailed written quotation, together with a General Information document which specified the work they perform on every job to protect the customer’s house and to ensure that they work to a high standard. All very reassuring. They started work on the promised date, some water leak stains on the lounge ceiling were treated and the decorating of ceilings, walls and paintwork was all completed to a high standard. Chris and Neil were very polite and friendly, cleaned everything up at the end of each day and helpfully moved some furniture back so we could use our lounge in the evenings. The work was completed ahead of schedule and we are very happy with the results, so will recommend Chris to friends and family.

Excellent job replacing bathroom ceiling - completed within the stated time frame. Easy to get hold of and easy to deal with, I'll definitely use Chris for any future plastering work.

We have used Active Plastering twice, both times for collapsed lathe and plaster ceilings in our house which was built in the 1840s in London. Apart from being a very personable and pleasant man, Chris Flack works quickly, skilfully and efficiently and charges a fair and reasonable price for his work. Everything is sealed off for what is a very messy job. He also employs equally pleasant people who are very hard-working. We would highly recommend him if you are in the unfortunate position of having a collapsed ceiling.

Used Active Plasterers to board and skim a downstairs bathroom. They came on time, fitted in with my schedule, were polite and very helpful. The finish on the plastering is first rate and they keep the site clean. Can't recommend Chris and his team highly enough.

We found Active Plastering on the Which Website so were happy to give them a call. The room we wanted decorated was in an exceptionally bad condition and the space that was available to work in was very limited, but despite this Chris and Neil worked extremely well and completed work a day earlier than was expected. We asked them if they would consider putting up some shelves whilst they were there and they agreed even though they were not expecting the extra work. We are very pleased and will use them again at any time we need work done.

Chris and Neil attended my property after extensive damage was caused by upstairs neighbour's undetected slow water leak in my kitchen ceiling. The ceiling was professionally repaired and re-plastered. The ceiling and walls re-painted. Chris and Neil did their best to keep mess and dust under control. They worked professionally as a team. Were on time and scheduled all work keeping to timescale. They also checked in following the initial prep work to ensure ceiling was drying effectively for next phase and completion of work. They were pleasant and professional. Very happy with their work and would highly recommend them.
