Active Plastering

Chris re-plastered our landing following a loft conversion. He got back in touch quickly, the quote was reasonable, his workmanship very good, and he was polite and considerate around the house. When we had a snag that might have set the work back he quickly brought in a colleague and was able to finish on schedule. I would highly recommend Chris for plastering, and I would expect his work in all areas to be of high quality.

We've used Chris's services twice. Four years ago he did an excellent job of plastering some damp-damaged walls so when half our master bedroom ceiling fell in a week ago he was the first tradesman I called. Chris is quick and responsive by email and phone and gets back to you when he says he will. He's good at explaining the options and is keen to point you to examples of his work (always a good sign). On site he and Vince were polite and friendly and did a good job, keeping to the agreed budget (which was reasonable) and leaving the place tidy. In particular I was grateful for how Chris managed to fit this job in at short notice and complete it within a day seeing as we were stuck sleeping in the front room otherwise!

Chris and his team re-plastered a damaged kitchen ceiling. They painted the ceiling & all kitchen walls. The work was completed in good time and to a high standard. All necessary care was taken during the work, and they cleaned up the area at the end of each day. The cost was in line with the quote. Chris is polite,and easy to get on with .

Chris did a great job removing coving & making good the ceiling afterwards. He also tided up the ends of the coving which were remaining around fitted wardrobes. The job was completed promptly and on time.

Having used Active Plastering before, on an elderly neighbours house, so when I needed some cracks sorting before decorating, I called them. Chris came and inspected the job, gave a quote and a date he could do it. He kept in touch by phone-the only issue was that his van suddenly needed to go for a new exhaust on the morning of the job. He arrived the next day and did the job very well. They cleared up to a reasonasble standard. All in all a good plasterer, friendly and reliable. Reasonable prices too.

Chris and Steve spent 3 days painting the walls, ceilings and woodwork in a number of my rooms. The quality of their work was excellent and I’d happily recommend their services to others. They arrived on time, worked hard, left the rooms very tidy and clean afterwards, kept to their original quote, and the painting looked great.

Top quality service received from Chris. He came out the next day and skimmed a perfect ceiling in our bathroom at a reasonable rate. Great skill and professional tradesman. I have already recommended him twice! Chris is very respectful and promptly arrived on time to complete the job - 100% perfect!

So pleased with Active Plastering - our ceiling and walls are now as 'smooth as silk'. We were particularly impressed with the efficiency, cleanliness and total respect given to us and our home by Chris.
