Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.

I had been looking for a firm to replace the inners of two large sofa base cushions and found DeeCee on the recommendation of a friend. They did a great job, prompt, friendly, informative, responsive to emails and convenient - during a working day so I did not have to miss out on having a sofa for the evening. The work is excellent - its like having a new sofa for a fraction of the price. I had originally inquired about potential further work on the sofa, restringing the base, so an unscrupulous trader could have insisted that was necessary. They did not, so I would say they are to be trusted.

I have had Dee Cee Upholstery's before they are a very trustworthy firm. Very helpful. I am absolutely thrilled with my suite. In April, I tried another firm to reupholster my furniture, it was an absolute disaster from beginning to end. I wouldn't let them take it back to retry the work. Instead, I rang Dee Cee they came and I now have a beautiful furniture.

I was extremely disappointed with both the quality of work and the attitude of this trader. The pattern on the fabric was not placed properly to the centre on a small stool he was asked to upholster, and consequently now looks off-centre. In addition, I asked at the outset that the original fabric be kept for return to me - but apparently it was thrown in their bin and subsequently could not be retrieved ! Finally I had to make numerous phone calls to get the remaining 1 meter of the new (very expensive) velvet returned to me. When it finally was brought back, it was completely scrunched up and very creased, with two rubber bands around it. All in all, an unpleasant and stressful experience with Dee Cee upholstery and naturally I shall never use them again.
