Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.

We had to replace the leather fabric on our dining room table chairs which were split and worn. We did consider replacing the chairs but are so glad that we did not, Dee Cee Upholstery did an excellent job – seamless throughout, very helpful on the telephone responding to our first email enquiry, a wonderful range of fabrics. Very quick and efficient service; collection work completed and delivery. The quality of the work cannot be faulted and we have ended up with a far superior set of chairs both in comfort and quality than originally provided by the furniture retailer. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Once again Dee Cee Upholstery have performed another miracle! Eighteen months ago they rejuvenated two sixties armchairs and now they have done an amazing job on our settee giving us a very posh three piece suite. Even though they had a backlog of work due to Covid-19 the work was completed in just over a week. We can’t praise them highly enough for their top quality work, efficiency and friendliness. Wonderful company.

We had a variety of work done - a 1970’s swivel chair and 2 x 1930’s dining chairs recovered, plus cushions made and covered for 2 vintage Ercol chairs. Dee See has a huge collection of fabrics, offer advice where needed and nothing is too much trouble - Derek and Karen are so helpful and accommodating. A first class job on all pieces, all completed perfectly and to the very highest standard - so pleased and we can’t recommend highly enough.

Contacted Dee Cee about a leather sofa which is about 10 years old. Received a call back to arrange a visit for a free quote to carry out the works. Arrived as arranged, quote came through promptly at a fair price. Once we accepted the quote, we paid a deposit and the work was carried out really quickly. The job was to recover a seat and arm area on one end of a three seater recliner sofa. They came and de-built the sofa, took away the parts they required, carried out the repair and returned and rebuilt it. The job has been done to an excellent high standard as you would expect from a long standing company such as Dee Cee Upholstery.

Dee Cee re-upholstered 2 x sets of window seat cushions for us. They were most helpful in choosing fabrics with us and keeping us informed as the job progressed. Cannot fault the speedy, friendly and expert service provided by Dee Cee. I really wish I had more chairs to take to the shop so that they could be given a new 'lease of life'. It took us a long time to decide on material but it never was a bother, Derek arrived on time for every appointment and was very friendly and helpful. The furniture went from red and gold 1998 to an Ash colour fabric with soft texture 2019! They repaired the base and it’s feels like a brand new settee. We were offered two chairs to use which was invaluable whilst being covered. Everyone has said how lovely it looks and feels. Excellent service from all the team at Dee Cee’s. Thank you.

I needed to save my settee suite from total disrepair Dee Cee went above and beyond my expectations. Their workmanship is superb when I explained what I would like them to do I was listened to and told what could be achieved and if at all possible my full wishes would met once they started work. I paid a deposit and two weeks later Dee Cee collected my suite and thoughtfully left me two very comfortable chairs for the full week of restoration. I was advised when it would be returned and was not let down. I asked if they could alter some cushion covers for me and put new backings on also zip fasteners which was done. I am totally delighted with everything Dee Cee have done for me and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend. I must add they were able to everything that I asked which was fabulous but was not left with the illusion that was going to be the case. True master craftsman.

Beautifully restored chair and footstool

Our antique arm chair was beautifully restored. The Sherwood frame was repaired, hand cleaned and wax polished, the seat was stripped out and re-sprung. It now looks beautiful with the new covering. We enjoy sitting on it now that it has been made strong and secure again. The stool originally had a raffia seat which we chose to have fully upholstered to match the antique chair. We are really pleased with the chair and stool.
