Dee Cee carried out work re-padding my leather sofa back cushions. He quoted me mid-summer and held his price when I eventually dropped them off to him in October. I could'nt be more pleased with the workmanship and friendly service that I received, and would both recommend, and use them again.

My much-loved sofa, library chairs, and dining chairs were old, tired, and unattractive. The excellent work done has exceeded my expectations. I am so delighted with the results and the improvement in the look of the room. Everyone was so helpful and friendly I can't thank them enough. What a brilliant job - thank you!

Just had our 6 dining chair seats recovered, so we decided to get them “done” professionally, so knowing Dee Cee was local with parking available, I decided to visit them, from the time I entered the quaint shop I felt at ease, Mr Dee Cee was very friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making sure that what I chose was right for our particular chairs. The choice of material available was endless and the cost made very reasonable. The chairs were completed earlier that promised and when I collected them I was amazed at the quality and the difference a high class craftsman can make, well worth the visit and our chairs now look stunning. I would certainly recommend them to all my friends. Well done to all at Dee Cee.

I have used this company for many years and it is the first port of call for me. New back cushions were needed for my settee. A different, but equally acceptable (and cheaper method) of upgrading the cushions was suggested and accepted. The work was done quickly and to a high standard. I am delighted with the result.

I have used this company twice in the past, so when l needed our dining chairs reupholstered we asked them to do the job. As before they were very helpful and knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and as promised the dining chairs were done and delivered back to our house the very next day and at the exact price quoted. We have just had six dining room chairs recovered , we thought we would use a small independent local upholsterer they are literally at the bottom of our road . We are so happy with the work they have done it took just three days to complete the work to an excellent standard, the price was very good and they were very friendly and helpful we would definitely use them again Thank you .

From the moment I contacted Dee Cee upholstery about the chair I felt it was in great hands. The chair was picked up and returned in 10 days having had a full tradition repair fitting of its age and it was reupholstered in a material from the huge range the company has to offer. This is our second experience with Dee Cee and we will certainly be back! Exceptional service from start to finish. Last time it was recovering a suite, this time two old Ercol chairs. We really appreciate the personal touch of a local family business. The quality of their craftsmanship is superb and we love their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile. Our suite is still going strong 12 years later and we expect these chairs to do the same. So we will be back…but it might be a while!

This was the third time we have used Dee Cee Upholstery in the past year. All three pieces of furniture (fireside chair, sofa cushions and footstool) were completed to a very professional standard and we are very happy with the result. Derek went out of his way to make sure the re-upholstery was just what we wanted and finished the work extremely quickly. We would highly recommend this company.

I purchased a second-hand sofa to use as extra seating for family "get-togethers". I decided to have it recovered. However, I had chosen an expensive fabric so I phoned Dee Cee’s and explained. Derek offered to pop in on his way home to check the stability of the sofa, and we agreed a date/time. Having reviewed the fabric sample and sofa Derek advised me that the sofa was sturdy enough for the job; that I would not be wasting my money and anticipated a further 25 years use. I received an estimate and paid my deposit. Karen ordered the material. (There was a delay because the fabric company were waiting for the velvet - to add their design to. Due to the ‘hangover’ of ‘Covid delays’ this company went out of business.) Dee Cees offered to return my deposit but I asked them to hold it while I chose another design. At this point, I spent a month in the hospital. My husband rang Dee Cee’s to explain ‘my’ post-Christmas delay and asked them to hold the deposit. I was finally able to settle on a fabric design and I phoned Derek. To make absolutely certain they ordered the correct fabric Derek offered to collect the sample that day. The fabric was more expensive than the original however Dee Cee’s did not increase their estimate and the invoice total remained the same. Karen and Derek have been really helpful and informative. Made advanced bookings to pick up and drop off the sofa, and have always adhered to agreed times.

This is the second time I have used Dee Cee Upholstery, this time it was to have some dining room chairs and conservatory furniture covered. I have to admit , that I was in two minds whether to reupholster or buy new chairs, the costs were similar. However, there is no comparison, my dining room chairs and conservatory furniture now match and have been expertly upholstered, look stunning and I am so pleased with the result. The workmanship is outstanding. My furniture was collected and brought back to me in a very short space of time. Everyone at DeeCee Upholstery are friendly knowledgeable and very professional. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

Brought my mother-in-law (88) along to the shop to look at rise and recline chairs. She's purchased one previously from a TV-advertised company's catalogue and the quality of it was appalling – just flimsy and badly made. We were greeted at the door of Dee Cee Upholstery by a smiling and friendly Derek who took the time to show my mother-in-law the chairs and ensure she tried them out. The first choice was an instant hit – a superbly made chair that instantly put her old chair in the shade. She also has a wing-back chair that's 29 years old. She asked Derek if he could reupholster it on the strength of her experience in the shop. She's very pleased with the material and how helpful Derek was. and that chair will be could for another three decades now. I just can't recommend Dee Cee Upholstery enough. Simply brilliant.

Our suite sustained paint damage when remedial work to our lounge was carried out by a firm of Bournemouth decorators who were appointed by our landlord. We chose Dee Cee Upholstery to undertake the reupholstery of our entire suite and were delighted with the outcome. Those we dealt with were extremely helpful and the standard of the work was excellent. We would highly recommend this company and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again if necessary.

We had been looking for some time for a company to refit our sofa cushions with new foam and also the back covers needed re-stuffing. We were reluctant to use an internet company and were pleased to find Dee-Cee from a review site and went to their premises based on feedback and their locality Throughout the process they have been very helpful and friendly and have delivered exactly what we wanted at a price that pretty much matched online quotes and to a speedy timescale. Our experience with them has left us feeling confident they would do a first class job on any kind of upholstering job

Derek came to my house, I chose a fabric, he gave me a quote, checked the material was in stock and took the two settees away a few days later, leaving me two arm chairs to use in the meantime. The reupholster was completed within two weeks to an exceptionally high standard. I would not hesitate in recommending Dee Cee Upholstery to anyone who needs reupholstery.

We have just had 2 1960's Parker knoll chairs refurbed plus had other sofa/chairs in the past. The PK chairs were upholstered to a very professional standard. The wooden parts of frames were re -stained and polished. The cushions were remade and everything was completed to a high quality with care and detail to attention. We would always trust and recommend this business with their advice, good communication and excellent service. Good selection of material options. The chairs will now last another lifetime! Great to deal with people who really know their trade and craftsmanship. The work was done properly with no shortcuts.

We had an old chair for reupholstering we were given excellent advice, a prompt service, free delivery on completion and now have a beautiful piece of furniture that came reasonably priced. Derek at Dee Cee certainly knows his stuff and his workmanship is excellent. I can't praise him enough.

Very old dining chairs were re-upholstered exactly as discussed i.e. using traditional methods and materials. Excellent advice and information from Carol in the shop and the work was beautifully carried out by Derek. The work was collected and returned within a few days. It was a pleasure to deal with Dee Cee Upholstery who provided an excellent service at a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend them.

Great friendly service. I had some sofa cushion fillings replaced as a tenant vacated and had disposed of them all. 1 odd shaped one, others regular shaped. Really impressed with turn around, just a few days and reasonable price for the job.

My dog chewed a very visible part of our 4 year old sofa. We emailed to ask if just that piece could be reupholstered. Communication was quick and helpful. I had to order the matching material from Next and it was 8 weeks for delivery. Once I had it , I emailed and they collected my sofa within a week and it was returned within the following week. Fabulous. You cannot tell. Friendly respectful helpful.

They reupholstered 2 ancient armchairs which were much loved by my late husband. From the first visit to the final delivery, nothing was too much trouble. The ‘new’ chairs are outstanding and will certainly last and be admired for many years to come. It is quite rare to come across this high level of skill and professionalism and well worth the money spent. I would never use anyone else and would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality restoration.

We bought a very comfortable fireside chair secondhand which was showing its age. We took the chair in for an estimate and Mr Caplen was very helpful suggesting what type of material would suit the chair. The work was completed in about 3 weeks and we are extremely pleased with the finished results. Well worth the money!

From the time we took in one of the chairs for a quote, we were impressed with the professional service. We were given clear time scales and when they arranged to both collect and return the chairs their timekeeping was excellent.
