I am extremely happy to recommend Ian Foreman Electrical. I needed the lights in the bathroom replaced with updating lighting and the associated cabling tidied up. Ian visited prior to accepting the job to see what work was required and to provide a quotation. Ian asked what type of lights I was thinking of getting and gave his expert opinion. The work was completed in a few hours on 5 May 2023. I found Ian Foreman very professional but approachable.

Ian completed a small rewiring job for us in preparation for a future heat pump installation. All work was expertly carried out with the minimum of fuss. Clearly an experienced professional with a helpful personal approach.

I am very happy to recommend Ian as an electrician. We needed an old outside security light replacing with an up-to-date LED one. The job was not straightforward because of our requirement to be able to operate the light with a switch as well as with the movement detector. Ian responded promptly to my initial enquiry, he listened carefully to our requirements, he gave us a clear quotation for the work, he was friendly and professional - and he did a great job!

I asked Ian, at relatively short notice, to do an ECIR on a tenancy. His response to my request was almost immediate, he liaised with the agents and tenants to gain access to the property, and carried out the work to an excellent standard. He identified faults that required rectification, kept me updated at all times, and got the job done well within the timeframe, for a reasonable price, despite it being dropped on him relatively last-minute. He’s a genuinely nice guy, someone I would trust to be unaccompanied in my home and he will get repeated work from me because he is so reliable. He comes highly recommended and has my gratitude for a job well done.

Got Ian over to go through what needed to be done to install a new induction cooker, living in an older house it was quite a task, Ian couldn’t have been more helpful with his advice and the work he carried out in replacing an old fuse board and installing a new circuit, he was friendly professional and courteous at all times and made the process so much less painful then it otherwise could have been, he talked us through the process from beginning to end, who to talk to in upgrading the house fuse etc. and made what could have been a confusing issue into a simple one!! I won’t be using anyone else for future work, thanks Ian!

Ian Foreman has carried out a range of medium and small jobs at our house over a number of years. All the work has been good. He has been reliable throughout. He is also a cheerful presence while in the house. We go to Ian as our first choice for any electrical work.

I contacted this trader along with 2 others on Weds 22 Feb 23 by email in the morning. The other 2 replied in the evening and I have yet to receive a reply which is disappointing both for them and Which? Trusted Traders

I contacted Foreman electrical and Ian came at 9am the next day. He identified the issue ( a burnt out plug) and resolved the issue speedily. Ian was kind, understanding and explained everything he was doing. I would definitely recommend him. Thank you Ian.

I don't think you'll find a better electrician than Ian. He's polite, reliable, knowledgeable and good value. He completely rewired my flat, and the new lighting has transformed the place. Highly recommended.

Ian installed a ceiling rose which was tricky due to there being 3 wires from what was previously a ceiling fan fitting. I needed it done fairly quickly due to my house move. Ian turned up at the time he said he would, explained the complexities of switched live wires & completed the work very efficiently. I wish I had found Ian years ago but I'm now moving out of the area.

I booked Ian based on reading a recommendation from Which, and I am highly delighted I did. I needed an electrician to switch off some electrics whilst I was in the middle of decorating. He arrived the next day, brought with him the items I needed to purchase and even offered to teach me how to change a light fitting for the future. He was friendly, efficient and thorough. I couldn’t fault his service and he was excellent value for money. Do not hesitate to use. Highly recommended.

Ian arrived on time and provided a clear estimate. He came to carry out the work, again on time, which in my experience doesn't always happen. He finished the work to a high standard and also gave some very useful advice on energy use. Ian cleared up afterwards and took away all the packaging and rubbish. He was pleasant and polite and the bill matched the estimate. I was very pleased with the result and I shall certainly call on him again when the need arises. After using some very poor electricians in the past I am relieved to have found Ian.

We contacted Ian following a recommendation by a previous customer. Ian replaced our fuse board to provide RCBOs and a surge protection device and also replaced metal light switches and fittings with plastic ones throughout the house. he was very thorough and professional and pleasant to deal with. He explained what he was doing and kept us informed throughout. The work was done to schedule and to budget. I would use Ian again for any electrical work.

I first contacted Ian to ask for a quote on a few jobs around the house (repairing sockets, adding new sockets, rewiring lights, removing an electric heater) - he was extremely helpful, giving me lots of honest advice which meant that he actually talked me out of doing several jobs (and therefore himself out of some of the work!) since it made more sense to do these at the same time as we would plan to redecorate. He then came round soon after to carry out the work, and throughout he was both efficient and very helpful with advice on other issues. When he uncovered some particularly unusual wiring issues, he also did a brilliant job of working out what was causing problems each time and solving this, explaining as he went, and making everything safe and to high quality standards. All the time he was very friendly and personable, and I will certainly be in touch with him next time I need any electrical work done. On top of all of that, he was very reasonably priced and was always keen to work out the most cost-efficient way that he could cover all of the work I wanted done. I have already been recommending him to friends nearby, and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in the Ruislip area!

Ian has carried out multiple jobs for us, including first and second fix electrics, replacing sockets and fitting lights. He liaised with our plasterer and kept us updated on timescales for completing the work. The work was carried out at a very high standard at a reasonable price and we would definitely use Ian again!

I first used Foreman Electrical in 2010 for a consumer unit replacement and was happy to go to them again for a rewire of another property this year. Ian is friendly and helpful and always available to answer queries. He took the time to explain the work that would be done and provided useful advice and recommendations. The work was completed within the expected schedule and estimate other than some additions that were agreed during the work. I would recommend Foreman Electrical as a reliable and honest business.

Ian was excellent, courteous and the price was very reasonable. He sorted squirrel damage to wires in the loft, diagnosed and fixed issues with two lights and replaced a bathroom fan. I would definitely use him again.

Ian came to so an EICR and was a likeable, efficient and very competent electrician, who I would definitely recommend. He noticed several other things that needed doing, communicated well about them and went out of his way to make sure everything was in order.

Ian was very helpful and communicated well from first point of contact through to completion of the job. Our switch was changed to a good quality and he also provided us with extra important information about the bulbs we can use and what’s involved if we were to potentially move ahead with a rewire. We 100% recommend Foreman Electrical for the following reasons: Ian visited on 9 July to assess the job & provide a quote. While doing this he noticed that the main fuse from the external power line was hanging from the wall in the cupboard under the stairs. He immediately informed me how dangerous this could potentially be, & called UK Power to fix this. (Uk Power arrived within 15 minutes of Ian leaving). Ian also checked that gas/electric & water metres were bonded. This impressive attention to detail/care for our safety even before agreement regarding work to be done demonstrated to me that this company would be what we were looking for. Ian arrived to fit four double sockets in the upstairs partitioned bedroom on Monday 13 July, & texted to let me know he was on his way. He was mindful of social distancing while remaining friendly, helpful & informative regards what the job entailed & how he intended to accomplish this using best/safest work practices. Ian is very knowledgeable, experienced, good at what he does & is happy to share his knowledge should you ask. He works fast, cleans-up as he goes along, & has a diligent high standard of work. We had verbally agreed a price for the work to be completed & as an added safety net Ian emailed his terms & conditions which included a 14 day cooling off period. He also provided & explained DMP18 Works Certificate. We are absolutely delighted with the completed job & 100% recommend Ian.

I’d used Ian before in a previous property and had no doubts about using him again in my new house.
