Ian was very helpful and communicated well from first point of contact through to completion of the job. Our switch was changed to a good quality and he also provided us with extra important information about the bulbs we can use and what’s involved if we were to potentially move ahead with a rewire. We 100% recommend Foreman Electrical for the following reasons: Ian visited on 9 July to assess the job & provide a quote. While doing this he noticed that the main fuse from the external power line was hanging from the wall in the cupboard under the stairs. He immediately informed me how dangerous this could potentially be, & called UK Power to fix this. (Uk Power arrived within 15 minutes of Ian leaving). Ian also checked that gas/electric & water metres were bonded. This impressive attention to detail/care for our safety even before agreement regarding work to be done demonstrated to me that this company would be what we were looking for. Ian arrived to fit four double sockets in the upstairs partitioned bedroom on Monday 13 July, & texted to let me know he was on his way. He was mindful of social distancing while remaining friendly, helpful & informative regards what the job entailed & how he intended to accomplish this using best/safest work practices. Ian is very knowledgeable, experienced, good at what he does & is happy to share his knowledge should you ask. He works fast, cleans-up as he goes along, & has a diligent high standard of work. We had verbally agreed a price for the work to be completed & as an added safety net Ian emailed his terms & conditions which included a 14 day cooling off period. He also provided & explained DMP18 Works Certificate. We are absolutely delighted with the completed job & 100% recommend Ian.

I’d used Ian before in a previous property and had no doubts about using him again in my new house. Ian came & changed 3 sockets & light switch which was done on cost & a brilliant job done as a previous electrician hadn't done the job to my satisfaction. All done and dusted within a hour. I had potentially a very big job to do at my mum's place, as the electrics hadn't been updated in 50 years. After speaking with Ian, he seemed to understand that I was looking for a high quality job, but also pragmatic cost effective solutions where possible. I wasn't disappointed, he did an excellent job, taking time to explain the problems, outline options, and then describe the reasons for his recommendations. I learnt a lot, and felt comfortable as I understood exactly what was going on. I was so impressed, that I also used him to check and improve the electrics at my place. Ian did a great job in the kitchen replacing 12 older spot lights with LED, plus under cabinet lights. He also replaced a broken dimmer switch. He is friendly, reliable, and very tidy. Highly recommended.

I hired Ian Foreman to change my fuse board. His quote wasn’t the cheapest but he was the only electrician that listened to my request. He did an excellent job and I highly recommend him. Going forward I will hire him to do all of my electrical work.

We had a problem with one of our electric appliances and needed some advice on how to progress further. Unfortunately, they were not available to carry out the work themselves in the next few days so we had to call someone else. Nevertheless the advice given over the phone was invaluable and helped us to understand the issue better.

Ian did work for my parents 20 plus years ago. When it came time to sell the house he had the paperwork stored away. When I wanted to buy a maisonette and the building survey recommended an electrical survey Ian was who I called on. He was very thorough and packed up on things that would not have crossed my mind. He explained everything in simple terms without talking down to me. Ian fitted a new fuseboard with RCBOs and SPD, )after researching new laws to see what was required to be done), three new lights and an extractor fan. Some of the work was bringing up to scratch things the previous electrician had not completed correctly. I found Ian to be prompt, professional, polite and helpful. He may not be the cheapest but he will provide a top service and you won’t have any complaints about him or his work.

Ian recently detached my ventilator from the house tripcircuit so that it would continue to work if the general house supply was tripped off. The work was done expertly and with minimal disruption. He did did the job on time and was very professional. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Ian was asked to fix a lighting problem in our kitchen and to quote for some exterior lighting at the front and rear of the house. His knowledge and explanation of the problem was very clear and a variety of options were spoken about. When we decided what we needed a date and time was arranged and the work was completed that day. It was very reassuring to know that the work was done by someone with such a knowledge of the subject in a very friendly way. Ian agreed a time to come over and replace a light switch for me. He came at the time we agreed and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. He also fitted a shade and gave me some helpful and was friendly and courteous. I would certainly use Ian again and recommend him highly to other people.

Ian did work on a water heater to ensure it was safe and operational. I spent a week trying to find somebody to do this work and was let down several times. Ian was a delight to deal with from start to finish. He needed to liaise with a plumber to get the job done. Sending my frustration he said he would call the plumber and sort everything out. He was true to his word and on budget. Totally reliable. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
