We needed to re-wire our house and change the fusebox box. As you can imagine a rewire is a lot of work and something you really want to get right the first time round. Ian did an excellent Job for us for beginning to end. He explained things clearly about the process and gave us time to think about where we wanted the sockets. He did not base things of what would be easiest for him to do, but rather focus on what we wanted, such as the re-wiring to the garage detached from the house. He started the job and continued to put in the full days work until completion. Unlike other traders, he did not run away to start multiple other jobs. I am happy he always ensured that we had some power in part of the house after he finished for the day. Most importantly, the quality of work was high and wiring was neatly done. We have had no issues nearly 4 months in.

Ian installed a set of lights in our home office - and we can't praise him highly enough. He is approachable, friendly, professional and clearly an expert in his field, talking us through the various options available to us. Under his guidance we settled on LEDs with a lengthy guarantee and because of his thorough working manner and attention to detail we are confident that they will serve us well for many years to come. Others on this site have mentioned that he is easy to talk to and we wholeheartedly agree. While he is quick to finish the task at hand, he is generous with his time when it comes to providing explanations and advice, even recommending other tradesmen for projects not within his remit as electrician. We have other electrical tasks which we plan to complete this year and will have no hesitation in approaching Foreman Electrical to do them. We discussed them with him and there was no hard-selling or pressure regarding when we wanted work to begin - just solid advice and a cheery "have a think and give me a call when you've decided when you want to go ahead". I can assure my fellow Which? Local members that my review is completely impartial and accurate - we had never met Ian prior to him carrying out work for us. We simply believe that good work, especially when it is above and beyond the call of duty, should be rewarded.
