Gregor Heating

Received a quote from Gregor Heating but with no break down of what each thing cost. When I contacted them to ask if I could get a break down I was told “it is not our company policy to give a break down of the quote. As I was not happy with this the manager called and gave approx costs. It turns out there was an extra approx £400 that I was told is their “mark up”. It was over Christmas I had been without heating for 2 weeks and could not get anyone else so quickly so I did end up going with Gregor Heating and the Work was fine. On this occasion I was desperate to get it sorted but would think twice again for two reasons 1) the mark up & 2) having to push to get a breakdown of a quote instead of having it in writing. I feel everyone has a right to know exactly what they are being charged for. Overall the work was completed with no problems.

Thoroughly disappointed with the work and customer service of Gregor. They came to change over 2 actuator valves for the central heating and have left us 6 hours later with no heating at all at 7pm. The engineer told us if we have a problem then ‘someone on call will be over as he is aware of this job’. Called the office the next day to be told someone can look at it for us in 9 days time!?! Nothing to do with the fact that the job hasn’t even been completed yet. The valves they suggested to fit, Honeywell, either don’t work with our system or there is a bigger issue. I asked them to investigate a month ago, had to chase them for the quote and on finally taking their advice have been left with a freezing home. Nicholas
