About

Locksmith Services is a family business established in 2009, based in Harpenden and covering Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. We're a father and son team, Larry started locksmithing in 2005 and Dean his son started in 2015 after becoming a qualified carpenter.

Locksmith Services are open 24/7 for emergencies and aim to get to you within 30 minutes of your call where possible. We can supply and fit door and window locks to British standard and insurance requirements.

If you need a locksmith in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire because you want your locks upgraded for extra security, locks changed or repaired then at Locksmiths Services we have the experience, expertise and the equipment that the job requires.

We do not charge a call-out fee or charge hourly. We charge a set labour fee plus the cost of any parts that may be required.

We are Hertfordshire Trading Standards Approved & Which? Trusted Traders since 2014.

Dean arrived on the dot of the appointment time with the replacement lock for our back door (pre-ordered by his father from an inspection a few days earlier) and fitted it expertly. He also made an adjustment to our front door locking mechanism thereby easing its previous stiffness. An excellent friendly and helpful service and I would definitely recommend this company.

We had been struggling with a bifold lock for a while when we called Dean and Larry for help. Dean attended the day after our call and was punctual and professional throughout. He quickly identified the problem with the door and discussed our options and what might happen down the line. He fixed it within half an hour and it's working perfectly. Thankyou! Highly recommend!

I rang Larry and he arrived quickly. He dismantled the mechanism, replaced a screw and reassembled it. He explained what had gone wrong and asked me to check it was now OK, which it was. All very efficient.

The lock on our back door had broken and I was also beginning to find the front door lock stiff and difficult. After a helpful phone call with Larry, Dean arrived and efficiently diagnosed the problems. He replaced a mechanism in the back door and made adjustments to the front door. He explained things, advised on future maintenance and checked before leaving that I could easily manage both doors. A professional and friendly service, we are pleased to recommend.

The lock on our extension UPVC door had become stuck in the locked position. Found Locksmith Services in a local Hemel magazine and contacted them by email with photos, requesting a non urgent visit and the likely cost. Dean replied immediately quoting their labour charge and the possible parts required. He attended two days later, replaced the faulty lock cylinder, advised on future care of the door mechanism, and even checked and adjusted another UPVC door which was out of alignment for no extra charge. Dean's invoice was completely as described and estimated and was very good value. Dean was extremely professional,efficient, polite and friendly in performing this work and we highly recommend Locksmith Services Ltd.

Our front door locking mechanism was becoming loose and worried it would fail. Contacted Locksmith Services as they had been recommended on our local Facebook page. Email response very quickly requesting photo of the lock and were quoted for the replacement. Dean arrived the following day and replaced the handles and also gave us very helpful advice on obtaining some more spare keys. Invoice matched estimate. Would highly recommend.
