About

Established in 2008, Propergeeks is based entirely on the Wirral but we cover all CH postcodes. We offer a mobile service covering Wirral and Ellesmere Port and a shop-based service from our Leasowe Road store in Wallasey Village. We also offer a 'Remote Support Desk' facility which, in many cases, can resolve common software issues without the need for us to have any physical contact with customers or their devices, (internet service required).

We have over 30 years experience in repairing computers and laptops and we only employ skilled staff who are trained and competent to handle any computer problem, skillfully and quickly. We offer free advice if you need it, a free collection and delivery service if you need that and we never charge a call-out fee. Our reputation is your guarantee that you'll be happy with what we do, happy with the price we charge and happy to recommend us to your friends and family.

I took my laptop to the shop to solve a problem. The guys were friendly and helpful - taking their time to explain what they would do. They tested the laptop but didn't seem to encounter the same problem I did - so we discussed what options I had. I was astonished that they didn't want paying - their argument was they'd not solved a problem - my point was that I'd used their time and expected to pay!! No matter - when I got my laptop home my problem has mysteriously been cured - what service! Seriously - I've used them several times before and have always found them friendly, helpful and efficient. I can't recommend them enough.

I had a problem where Bitdefender was denying access to Microsoft Edge, I couldn't sort it out myself. I explained the situation to Propergeeks they took control, set a time and kept to it. They kept me informed whilst they sorted the problem out and were very helpful and always polite.

I had two medium spec computers, which had both become slow and problematical, upgraded with SSDs and BIT Defender Total Security installed. The initial evaluation was free and the job quotes were clear and at reasonable cost. Communication with Proper Geeks is good and the computers returned fairly rapidly with jobs completed and fully checked. Both computers are now returned to the reasonably high spec performance I am used to and I am very pleased with the upgrades.

Downloading a driver from less than safe site tripped my BitLocker and froze up my laptop with the feared blue screen. I dropped into propergeeks with a plea for help. In 48 hours they had restored the kit to pre-download status and full operation without losing anything except the spurious driver. This may be bread and butter to them but they saved my bacon on good time. Cost less than £80. Result. Great small business and I would recommend them to anyone.

My computer was running extremely slow and I had procrastinated for many months about handing my computer over, containing sensitive personal data, to someone/a business I did not know. From the moment I walked through the door of the shop I felt at ease. I felt that Chris (and team) really listened to me and were sympathetic to my concerns and reassured me in relation to the security of my data. They gave me a timescale of when they would contact me to discuss their findings and delivered this twenty four hours before the timescale had expired. When Chris called he was clear in concise on what my options were and the costings of each. Each question I asked was addressed thoroughly. Thank you so much guys. I will absolutely recommend you, in fact I already have.

My own IT knowledge is quite basic, so I required professional help and advice in upgrading my current DeskTop PC from windows 7 to 10. The geeks were polite, positive and helpful from the start. They quoted me what I considered a very reasonable price and did exactly what was required without any fuss, on completion of work Chris (GEEK) talked me through the differences in the upgrade and how to get up and running immediately, while also offering any help or support required. I consider these guys a top outfit and would not hesitate in recommending their services.
