RJ Insulation specialise in ECO friendly, natural and sustainable loft insulation.
Pre 1920 homes.
One of our assessors holds a Level 3 award in giving advice on energy efficiency measures to listed and traditional buildings.
He recommends using the Sheepswool. Sheepswool is hygroscopic, therefore is specified for listed and traditional buildings.
1920 -1960s homes.
For 1920 - 1960s homes we use SuperFOIL Insulation. SuperFOIL is designed to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. SuperFOIL states that it can increase the value of your home.
Post 1970.
For 1970s or later we offer the SupaSoft Insulation. Supasoft is made entirely out of single use recycled plastic bottles. on average it takes 10,000 - 15,000 Single use recylced plastic bottles out of landfill and into your loft. It never degrades and is approximately 11% more thermally efficient than the typical Fibreglass.

We moved into our house in December and had no need to look in the loft until the little visitors arrived post harvest! When I looked in the loft it was stuffed to rafters with insulation allowing no access. Too much insulation isn’t helpful so it needed to go and be replaced. After several calls Ross gave the best initial response to our problem and offered to do the whole thing. Price agreed, date fixed,the 2 guys turned up yesterday ten minutes early and went straight to work. A few hours later job done, and you’d never know they’d been, the working areas were spotless and a good job had been done. Huge thanks to Ross, Lee and our two operatives Bruno and his mate.

Loft upgrade for 1896 semi-detached
A very thorough and professional refit of a very dusty roof space. The work was discussed in considerable detail beforehand and the company was very accommodating when our work schedule changed. The attic was emptied of old insulation and boarding, cleaned and new insulation boarding installed within two days. Thank you to everyone involved in this project. We are extremely happy with the results.

An absolutely fabulous contractor experience From the very first call it was clear that this firm value and care for their customers, explaining and verifying, clarifying details and providing clear evidence of exceptional service and qualifications. All the staff from office to those on the ground have been kind and friendly, clean tidy and very respectful of property, remaining so even in 33c of the loft and loosing more water than it is possible to drink while in a dust mask! I'm thrilled to have a loft that is now accessible, lit, clean, snug, ventilated and smells of clean sheep It is wonderful, they restored my faith in contractors and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants a team to do exactly what they say they will to transform your loft. Sheep’s wool loft insulation
From first contacting RJ Insulation to discuss our options up to the day the insulation was installed, we have been very happy with the service. We dealt with Alfie who was both knowledgeable and helpful and made the whole process feel seamless. The actual installation took place on 27 July just over two weeks from the date we first contacted them. The installers were great and the final finish is immaculate. We are extremely pleased.

From the calls from Alfie, the Survey and the hard working installers, RJ Insulation has been professional, knowledgeable and curtious throughout, I can’t praise the company enough. I thought I did my research before getting quotes from companies to retro-fit new insulation in our loft conversion, but listening to Alfie took me to another level, I couldn’t find another company who would guarantee their work for the life of the house, my experience with RJ Insulation was a level above the rest even if they weren’t the cheapest I can tell it’s money well spent. My wife was so happy she had her full staircase cleaned as the last action of the installers each day I think this is one thing she’s going to miss. These guys worked through our record breaking heatwave even though I did challenge them on this for their safety. I can feel the difference already in the loft conversion and for the first time I can’t wait for winter.

I needed to sort out the poor energy rating of an old house; insulation was so degraded as to be worthless in terms of heat retention but also revolting to deal with and clean out. RJ and the team explained all the options in detail, leaving me to decide how best to proceed and once the decision was made did the work with efficiency and professionalism. The estimate and survey was undertaken with care as was the work that followed. Everything was left spotlessly clean and all waste was removed. The team were fastidious. Thanks to everyone, from Alfie in the office talking things through, to Lee at survey and to the site team who worked through a heatwave (ironically!) to get everything done.

This one was pricy and we needed to think a bit before we went for it. Very happy with the results from our roof insulation installation. Max, Linas and co are all very friendly and impressive chaps. They got the job done efficiently, working as long as the job needed to get it done on time, including figuring out some particularly awkward issues from some leftover spray foam (what we were replacing). They made sure they cover every inch of external wall well and helped explain & show how and why they'd done things which was very much appreciated. They also did a great job of ensuring that everything was tidied up when they finished which was really great to see. Excited about having a bit more warmth this winter! Thanks a lot.
