The lads were fantastic. Clean job and very efficient. Hardworking, friendly guys. Job was done in 4.5 hours. Loft looks superb. We did clear loft for them which did make it easier. They put all the heavy stuff back for us which made our sorting afterwards a lot quicker than anticipated. Looking forward to a warmer home.

From the first phone call to the job being done the company was a pleasure to deal with Ross, Alfie and all the team were excellent. The three guy arrived on time were very busy, clean and tidy they asked me a few times to take a look at their work at the end they showed me photos they had taken I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have work done Thanks again to all the team.

Price was as qoated, information clearly stated. Installation team were pleasant and polite, very tidy workers. Loft vacuumed once old insulation removed. They said for me to have a look before they departed. Once the work was finished they went round every room to check the ceiling lights were working.

I must say that the company was very professional from start to finish. They did not use any high pressure sales techniques or anything like that. I was left to think it over before I made my decision to go ahead with the order. The fitting team lead by Max were also very professional in how they went about the job. They did all what they said they would do and keep me informed on how the job was going. When they were finally finished any mess that was made was all cleaned up and everything was taken away. So I would have no problem at all recommending this company. Thank you to them all.

Luis gave a good explanation of the benefits of sheeps wool insulation in the first stage of the process. My house is 1930s and so the breathability of the wool and its ability to hold moisture to control humidity was a big part of the choice. On the install day, Max and his team were excellent. He explained each stage of the process and checked about which items I might want to keep from the clear out of the loft space. When there was difficulty in fitting a few of the eaves trays, he compensated for the loss by fitting extra lat vents in the roof so that the overall ventilation was not affected. His team did a thorough clean before they left and Max even had a look under my downstairs floor and offered some advice about heating, despite not offering the work himself and so having no vested interest. I can't fault the install. The effectiveness of the install at first seemed disappointing, and while the temperature of the house didn't at first increase, the dehumidifier showed that the house was a few percentage points less humid than it had been with old fibreglass. On day 5 after the install, we noticed that the living room was maintaining heat a little better after the radiators went off. Now, more than a week in, the install seems to have made about a 2 degree difference. This is significant when we still have wall insulation to do. According to Google, this delay in effect is due to the wool gradually expanding back to full depth after being compressed in rolls.

Well....what a breath of fresh air this Company indeed is. With its customer service, value and quality of product it is truly a professional outfit second to none. From start to finish everything was fully explained, all questions answered including type of insulation to suit the age of the property (foil in my case). Although the cost was more than the average this was more than made up by the practical and efficient way the whole exercise was carried out. The two guys doing the work were a delight and polite and fully cleaned up after themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending this trustworthy Company.

Our loft is a tight space so I decided to get a professional fitter in to do the job rather than try and DIY it. Found RJ Insulation by chance and read the reviews on Which, Trading Standards etc and did some other checks (as you can never be too careful). I then decided to contact them. I experienced very good customer service throughout the process and Alfie worked with me to find a time to do the survey and the works. I already had sheep's wool in mind for the loft but Alfie went through the advantages of it and confirmed in my mind why sheep's wool insulation would be best. Alfie gave me a rough idea and range of the costs there and then. He arranged an onsite survey with John a few days later to confirm exact costs. Cost were agreed after the on-site survey (they were within the lower end of the range that Alfie had given me previously). A date that was suitable for both of us was then arranged. Works were completed quickly by two friendly workmen. The old insulation and other debris was removed and taken away with them. They showed me the work that they had completed in the loft. They cleaned up the areas that they had been working in. I had a follow up call from Alfie to make sure that I was happy with the work. The price may be more than other fitters out there but in my opinion you get quality work, excellent customer service and at the end of the day peace of mind of not dealing with rogue traders. This is an exciting company selling quality, British made, environmentally friendly products, without a hard sell but with knowledge and enthusiasm. Alfie the boss, phoned me back when he said he would, took time to answer all my questions and gave a clear explanation of why sheep's wool underfloor insulation was right for the age of our house. The surveyor and the fitters were also curteous and knowledgeable and got on with their jobs efficiently. When the surveyor was delayed by traffic, he phoned to give us a revised ETA. Everything was completed as per quote. Love the product, having seen it installed and the fact I didn't have to pay VAT on it was a bonus (I believe the credit for that goes to the government no less!) Happy to invest in a home-grown product and a hard-working company.

Very detailed information given from initial quotation and along the decision making process. Easy to deal with an genuine person, I did have quotes for a similar level of work for less but RJ is a well trusted provider who I felt confident in delivering a quality product and we were able to negotiate a slightly reduced price without compromising the level of product. Installers arrived promptly and cleared out old insulation as well as some old leftovers bits and bobs in the loft before replacing. The finished product looks good and well installed.

Having previously been contacted by a cold caller from another company and being urged to get a quote elsewhere so glad I did. The installers were professional, quick and tidier than I could have expected. I would highly recommend this company. They even bagged up my rubbish and loaded it into my car. I didn’t get the names of the guys who did the work, but absolutely bang on point, a credit to the company for sure, as is Alfie. Wish there were 10-star ratings.
