We are very pleased with our attic insulation and notice how much warmer our home feels now. The air is also more breathable and better too - it is clean insulation and none of that horrid glass fibre itchy stuff that was in there before. It ticks the green credentials too (we had superfoil and supasoft put in). Yes it isn't a cheap option for upfront costs but if you can afford the initial outlay it's guaranteed for life. You need to look at the whole picture, factoring in the long term savings (never having to replace it) with cheaper bills and efficient heating (and cooling). We would definitely recommend RJ Insulation, they were very professional, prompt in returning calls, on time for visits and carried out the work efficiently. The guys working on site couldn't have been more helpful and thorough. If you can, go for it! And if you are able to choose the sheep wool option you'll be supporting our British farmers - another good tick!

We used this company to install new insulation in the cellar ceiling of our 1910 built home. They also replaced our old insulation in the attic - both with sheepswool. The whole process was excellent from first contact to installation. No pressure just prompt responses to all questions. The site assessor and installers were great. from start to finish the service was excellent. i had my loft insulated with sheeps wool which was recommended for the age of my home. john delt with my order and was extremly imformative and helpful. fitting was arranged quickly and the two fitters were brilliant. left clean and even hoovered my stairs for me. would highly recommend this company

I found all the people I had contact with in the company extremely helpful and competent. Originally the job was going to be done in one go but I needed to get the loft sprayed for woodworm so they came one day to remove the old boarding and insulation and came back a week later to install the new insulation and boarding. I had a slight issue with the loft ladder that they were going to provide so they came back the next day to install a more suitable ladder. As the company is based in Ipswich and I am in Cumbria I was very impressed by how adaptable they were to my requests as it meant more travelling for the installers. The finished job is perfect and the cottage is lovely and cosy now.

From first contact to finishing the job this company were the epitome of professionalism. They were prompt to answer my query and the ensuing visit to assess the job took place within days. I have a 5 bedroom house built 25 years ago and had the minimum of fibre glass loft insulation which had deteriorated. I have no hesitation in recommending RJ Insulation. I had old fibre-glass insulation replaced by Supasoft insulation. This was a professional job from start to finish. The installation itself was carried out by a team of three who arrived on time, were very hard-working and polite and kept everything clean. I'm very pleased with the end result. My loft was cleaned out after the old (very horrible) fibre-glass was removed and then the new insulation and venting put down. It now feels a clean and habitable environment! It is early days in terms of assessing the impact, but it does feel as though the house temperature is more evenly distributed as well as being warmer. The sales and administration service was efficient and personable and communications were clear and speedy. The job was assessed via a pre-installation visit and the work was completed to the agreed schedule and budget.

Max called me called me an hour and a half before his arrival to say when he would be there. He cut a very neat access to the loft space, removed some old insulation and laid Supasoft insulation. Everything was done very neatly and on completion the place was tidied up as though no one had been there. Max was very diligent and hard working. I would have no hesitation in using R J Insulation again and in recommending them to others.

I waited a year to post a review as I wanted to see how the supersoft insulation performed. We used less energy last winter. Was this the insulation or was it because energy prices were so high that I used the central heating less? This summer we have not had the high temperatures of 35C plus so again although the upstairs was much cooler at night than last year was this the insulation or was it just lower temperatures? So I think the house is a more even temperature and am pleased that we had it done. The team were punctual, polite and cleared everything away.

We have used RJ Insulation twice now, firstly on a 1950's semi, now on a 1930's semi. Both installations involved removing old fibreglass insulation, adding Supasoft, raised boarding of the floor, and lining the roof interior with foil. The first job also sealed an old square loft hatch, replacing it with a rectangular hatch and ladder combo. RJ Insulation have turned our unpleasant, dirty, and awkward-to-use lofts into clean, easily accessible storage areas. It's made such a difference to how effectively we can use the space: it feels like we have gained a lot. The team of installers have been very efficient and friendly throughout both 2-day jobs. They arrived promptly and left things clean and tidy at the end of each day. They may not be the cheapest you can find but, in our experience, the service offered by RJ Insulation is professional, thorough and ultimately worth paying for. The cost was clearly outlined upfront and they were able to accommodate us changing the installation date. We would recommend them to friends and family.
