The installation of Solar PV and battery backup is not something entered into lightly. It was important to select a reliable, trustworthy local Company able to provide an Insurance backed service and being a Which recommended Trusted trader provided further reassurance. Solar Gateway installed a 15 panel 5.77kw PV system with battery storage which has worked incredibly well. From the outset, Mark was professional in his approach, turned up when promised and delivered within agreed timescales and at the agreed cost. We had intended to purchase additional battery storage, Mark however advised us to monitor usage/capacity over the first year rather than spend additional monies unnecessarily which we thought was very honest of him. My follow up questions have been answered expeditiously and with a personalised approach. We have now made a number of referrals to this Company and had no hesitation in doing so.

Solar Gateway was recommended by a friend. A survey and discussion of the Solar power system and siting the roof panels , inverter and batteries was done initially and a second visit was made at our request as we had issues with the likely route of the wiring (we have an extension so the loft is not uniform across the length of the house). We were then provided with the calculations of anticipated output of solar energy based on our roof’s orientation to the sun , and based on our previous electricity consumption, how long it would take to recoup our investment in the system. This was all before we committed to the work or paid a deposit. On the day the electrician and roofer worked efficiently to complete the main fit on the day. It was a difficult fit due to the pitch of our roof and the type of tiles. Also the panels were fitted to our detached garage and house roofs making it a more complex fit. All issues were dealt with effectively. The system was up and running by the end of the day. Everything was done to the originally agreed price which was very competitive. The work has been done to a very high standard. We were advised on how to make the most of generated power and battery use. The Project Manager, Mark rang the next day, as he had been monitoring the system’s function, to ensure we were happy with everything. We highly recommend this company.

A very helpful company Solar Gateway came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. Mark carried out a survey at my house and recommended a system with batteries. I had little knowledge of how solar works and everything was explained to me clearly giving me the confidence to proceed. The installation was carried out quickly and efficiently. They were very tidy and removed all rubbish. I have an app on my phone which shows the system working. It shows me how much electricity the panels are producing and when the batteries are charged. When energy is being exported to the grid, I know then to use my larger electrical items like the washing machine. I found this company through a google search and was pleased to see that they were a Which? Trusted Trader. Mark called out to see me soon after my initial enquiry. I was very impressed with his knowledge, honesty and price. He explained everything very clearly, and happily answered further questions later. The system was fitted by his team of three including himself. They were very professional and tidy. It was installed and working within a few hours. The app that's linked to the inverter is great, and perfect to show friends how the system is working. His aftercare is great too. I bought a system with eighteen panels and a four point eight kw battery. It's possible to run several things in the house, during a power cut, from the battery, which is fantastic. I generally opt for the boiler, router, light and tv. I have recommended Mark to many friends. They have all been impressed with his technical knowledge and fair price. He's not in the business to sell you something if it's not going to be of any benefit, unlike many of the rogues out there. I'm happy to recommend Mark to everyone wanting a good, efficient system, installed well and at a fair price.

15 solar panels across two roofs with battery and solar boost (water heating). I contacted a number of traders. One gave a quote for the wrong roof using Google maps. Another did not visit. Another was difficult to contact. Mark of Solar Gateway visited twice was easily contactable by phone answering all my questions. Work completed in one day. A mistake was made and rectified within a couple of days. I am very pleased with the performance of the system. It is as predicted.
