We used Surrey Hills to move us at the end of June 2021 when the housing market was at its peak of madness with everyone trying to complete by the end of the month for the Stamp duty reduction. The Surrey Hills team was very helpful and accommodating in putting together our removals plan particularly when the arrangements seemed to be changing daily. They were also all very friendly and understanding of the stressful nature of the whole process of moving. I would definitely recommend them.

Our move occurred during the '2021 moving mania' period of early July. So we considered ourselves lucky to be allocated a week-long slot then. But our greatest luck was to have found and chosen Surrey Hills. Their sheer professionalism at every point was appreciable. On the appointed week - being an 'overseas' our move was an extended one - Paul and his team looked after me and our property brilliantly. I was and remain truly grateful to Paul and team for making the move as easy as they did. They worked hard, they had a positive 'can-do' approach and were a pleasure to work with. And, when it came to unpacking, I am still thankful to them. Everything was packed by room, making it so much easier to find things later. (Other removers we've had previously have mixed everything together, making it nigh impossible to find things later.) I would recommend Surrey Hills without hesitation.

The sale of our 6-bedroom house near Guildford required our furniture to be split between two new properties that our family was purchasing. Most of the furniture went into storage for a month. Final delivery of the furniture to our new home in Shropshire went to plan, the team from Surrey Hills being extremely helpful in locating some very large items of furniture into place.

Called Surrey Hills Removals as they had moved me before. Told they were very busy and it would take 2 weeks for survey and quote. I Booked survey for quote regardless as I had used them before. They told me they had penciled in my move date. I had to call to remind them that they were due to survey my move as they were late to arrive and had basically forgot. I was then told that even if they came to survey they couldn’t move me on the day required. All this after waiting 2 weeks. Moronic approach to business and customer relations.

Can’t fault the service we received from Surrey Hills. The initial quote done by Mark was professionally handled and while not the cheapest they appeared to be the best value. Mark had clearly thought through all the options and never seemed to be selling services we didn’t need. After we accepted their offer, the website was relatively easy to use and Bekki was a great help. The move itself couldn’t have been smoother. The team, led by Miles, arrived on time, packed efficiently and neatly with great care. Unpacking was as pleasant as it can be to the point that we actually ended earlier than anticipated. Can’t recommend them highly enough. They made a stressful time as painless as it can be.

They were one of the 3 companies we had considered for a move that never happened so we asked on this occasion. They were not the cheapest or most expensive but definitely the most convincing so we ordered. They arrived right on time and were well organised, efficient, polite and friendly on the first day. On move day they were quick to clear up and get on the road. We arrived at the new house in good time to find them waiting and then very patient when the keys were delayed. When the keys finally arrived they were quick and efficient getting stuff in generally the right place and tried very hard to work it out when the house conspired against us. Altogether a top job and no complaints at all.

We decide to use Surrey Hills Removals for our move because they were listed as a Which trusted trader, and we were not disappointed. We were provided with boxes to pack ourselves, as we requested, and these arrived leaving us plenty of time to avoid any panic. Staff were always friendly and helpful and behaved like they enjoyed what they were doing. Everything happened exactly when we were told it would throughout.

Gave contract to Surrey Hills (although most expensive quote) on the promise of the same team for a move from England to Ireland. They did not deliver on that promise. Instead, they arranged for local support who, ironically, proved the best of the bunch. We also, for the first time in many moves, suffered breakages. Would not use Surrey Hills again.

We were really impressed. Tom and his team made our move go as smoothly as possible. Everything was packed carefully, and they called in extra help on a Friday evening rather than leaving us without our beds rebuilt for the weekend. Friendly and efficient, I would recommend them.

I have already recommended Surry Hills to others. Throughout the conveyancing process they were very understanding and flexible. For the move itself, the team of three (Will, Tom and Tom) were very friendly, worked extremely hard and everything went extremely well. We even had a brand new shiny removals lorry.

Further conversations with his colleague Nick confirmed the companies positive attitude and Mark in the Operations team was super helpful and flexible with my requests of removal timings etc. Tom and Andy who actually carried out the move were great - again friendly and helpful and certainly know their stuff about the items they were moving - namely the very old large Grandfather clock. They managed the move efficiently and respectfully and always with a smile on their faces. I can't thank them enough. From start to finish the service was excellent. From first enquiry, through receiving a very clear quotation (available to read on line - nice and easy), follow up before removal, confirmation of timings and the removal itself all the staff were excellent. Move went very easily with great packaging. Arrived on time, swift and efficient and then unloading and distributing at destination was equally easy, Great people, great service and I would definitely use them again.

Surrey Hills Removals recently carried out our house move over 5 days and I was very impressed with them from start to end. When Nick (the MD) first came to give me a quote, he reassured me that SHR do everything to make the house move go smoothly. I fully trusted Nick, he seemed very relaxed and yet professional. I must say, I was given the same reassurance about the move going smoothly from other removal companies at the quote stage, however it was only when I started looking at the details that I realised that actually these companies operate complex and not very user-friendly processes. They also had many more restrictions and disclaimers whereas Nick was very accommodating and reassuring. I really enjoyed dealing with SHR, they were all extremely helpful, from people in the office (Richard, Lesley, Mark) to the guys delivering boxes to me and then doing the move. The removal team were very friendly and thoughtful and took great care when moving things - it literally was a pleasure to move with them! Danny, who led the whole move, had a great way of working with his team and was very thoughtful and proactive, for instance, he would check that we were happy with the position of furniture in the new house, access to plugs etc. and offered to relocate any items in the event their original location wasn’t suitable and/or we changed our mind. Great job, I would highly recommend to others.

The whole moving process was first class from start to finish. We have moved a number of times over twenty five years both nationally and internationally and it is no exaggeration to say that Surrey Hills Removals were the best we have come across. We had quotes from two other companies and Surrey Hills Removals was the best price. Staff were polite, punctual and very knowledgeable. We moved into a smaller property and great care was taken with all of our possessions - not a single scratch. We hadn’t moved for 17 years and accumulated a lot of ‘stuff’ over the years. Our move involved leaving a house opposite a school and moving to a house in a narrow country lane, so a logistical problem. The Surrey Hills team turned up on the Thursday, filled two small cans with ‘non essentials’ and packed everything Friday they took everything else and delivered the essentials that afternoon everything, else, as agreed, was delivered on Monday. The team were friendly, efficient, and did a fantastic job: we are still unpacking but nothing has been damaged and all that stuff is done I hope I don’t need them again and I get carried out in a box, next time, but I’d definitely use them again if needed.

Moving house is always incredibly stressful. There are numerous things to think about and the removal service is one of the most important bits, but always seems to be left to the last minute. My moving dates kept jumping all over the place, which meant that I eventually had to find a company to move me out within a week. I called Surrey Hills - no problem. To be fair that was mainly luck, but the service that I received from them was second to none. Nothing was too difficult. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was incredibly polite. I required 6 weeks storage of my household goods before I moved into my new house. It wasn't a problem. The team that moved me out and back in was extremely efficient, clean and polite. I was well-informed on the service and price from the start through to the last box being delivered. I cannot recommend Surrey Hills enough - thank you for making that bit of my move the easiest.

It took 3 full days to move us into our new home and the team were brilliant. They were friendly and so very respectful of both our old home and our new one. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.
