Sussex Solar were very helpful in discussing options for solar panels, and, over many weeks, looking at various different tariffs. The installation and commissioning was quick and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone for their attentive customer service.

Having previously purchased an EV we were keen to further improve our green credentials. We were anxious to find an installer we could trust as it appears a minefield. Fortunately a friend of my wife recommended their services as she knew them well and her parents had been delighted with their work. From the first contact they were polite and efficient arranging for Andy (owner) to visit shortly afterwards with a colleague. They spent an hour explaining and answering questions we had, so we felt we had a thorough understanding of the systems and options available. A detailed survey and assessment was carried out and detailed report provided. A tailored installation schedule was agreed, initially proceeding with solar panels and battery followed 5 months later (at our request) by the air source heat pump. The whole installation team were very efficient, friendly and professional throughout tidying up at the end of each day and providing detailed explanations for use of the system. We have been transfixed and delighted with the performance of the solar panels and battery and are hopeful and confident the Air Source Heat Pump will perform as expected over the winter. Many thanks to all the team who genuinely seem to care about the service provided.

Absolutely Splendid job, they came to carry out the installation of the solar panels and battery system when they they had said. The staff where very polite and helpful, after completion I was contacted to say that they would be returning as when the photographs of the panel installation were viewed that they where not central on the roof. They returned centralised the panels looks great. Highly recommend them.

Well, I can’t sing the praises of Sussex Solar enough. We used them to install a heat pump and solar in our 1970s 4 bed property, and we are really pleased with the results. It is a minefield out there with so many start ups 'having a go' at offering these services but lacking the expertise and experience. National organisations offer attractive deals but outsource the installation and lack customer service. I was really impressed with the reviews of Sussex Solar on 'Which', and they fully deserve their outstanding score. This is a business with integrity who will only recommend a product if it works for your situation. One reviewer had pointed out that you may pay more than the best offers out there, but the quality of service and peace of mind is worth it, and I completely agree. We went with Sussex Solar expecting a personal, professional and market leading service from a hard working family firm - this is exactly what we got. They are perfectionists. Every one of the team was impressively professional and a pleasure work with. Excellent communication within the business and with us. Andy the boss was meticulous in his approach, and the apprentices who are fortunate enough to work for this firm are highly educated, personable, knowledgeable, and have an intuitive understanding of heat pump and solar systems which they convey with confidence and in a way that is easy to understand. Thoroughly recommend.

A great experience from beginning to end - We went from no solar to being fully off-grid in under a week with Sussex Solar. All members of the team were very communicative and helpful throughout. The team organising the install kept me up to date every step of the way and the fitters worked incredibly hard to get everything installed in just a few days - even with heavy rain! Finally, having Andy come around to do the final checks and take the time to explain how everything works rounded out a very good experience - would happily reccommend to anyone looking to get Solar installed.

I contacted Sussex Solar as a Trusted Trader 6 months ago as an elderly relative was being hounded & scammed by solar / green energy companies on a regular basis. From the moment I asked for help they have been amazing. The reassurance of speaking to reputable, honest people has been such a relief. They assessed the PV system, advised the best way forward, removing unnecessary/incorrectly installed equipment in a professional manner leaving the system safe at last. The WHOLE team have been amazing. Communication by both phone & email has been patient (steep learning curve on my part!), professional, helpful & transparent - I have felt totally supported through the process and what has been a very stressful period. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our roof was not suitable for the number of solar panels required to provide the required power output. Thinking outside the box, Sussex Solar was also able to install panels on a detached garage roof to make up the shortfall. Along with battery storage, the system is working as specified. Due to some technical issues with our house layout, the installation took a bit longer than planned but they accommodated this without fuss and overcame any difficulties. Great Company to deal with and receive the dedicated personal service one doesn't always get these days.

Sussex Solar finished their three day installation last week. The guys were amazing very focused and discreet. The installation was carried out exactly in the three days allocated with the battery being the last item to be installed. The neatness of all the work and the lack of disruption was brilliant. Would most definitely recommend. We also thought the price was competitive and what we were expecting.

I contracted with the Sussex Solar team to advise on/supply/install a heat pump heating system and batteries. I found their work to be of an extremely high standard, and completed on time. Their team are friendly, efficient and courteous, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Having selected the system components independently, I contacted three potential suppliers from the manufacturer's approved list and cross referenced with online reviews. All suppliers were small businesses. Of the three, Sussex Solar had the best communications (very good) and were marginally cheaper, while also accommodating the number and type of panels I'd specified, even if the fit was tight on the roof. The installation took 3 days by Sussex Solar's own personnel, who worked efficiently and were very pleasant, even offering to help with moving furniture back after the internal cable installation. As part of the commissioning, Sussex Solar also assisted with the setting up of the Apps and accounts. The only subcontracted element was the scaffold and even then the selected scaffolders were efficient and friendly. There was one small issue with the commissioning, which was quickly resolved within a couple of days, though the system was operational at the end of the 3 day installation. A very satisfactory experience from the initial contact to the final commissioning, a total period of a little over 3 months (which included the G99 application and approval from the DNO).

We decided to replace our aging liquid solar panels with photovoltaic panels, following 18 years of free hot water between March and October. The original panels were maintained by Sussex Solar, and having been so pleased with their servicing it seemed a no-brainer to return to them for the installation of new panels. We were not disappointed. At every step, there was someone knowledgeable and helpful. The installation was efficient and mindful of the construction of the house. The installation team was professional and friendly. Barring the new items, you wouldn’t know that they had been here! We are truly grateful to Charlotte in the office for helping us with any queries and the documentation required for exporting to the grid.

Sussex Solar was an impressive team, the first supplier I saw, and after searching the market, were best choice for me. They were knowledgeable, helpful, service-focused and patient over a long period from enquiry to final installation. Really nice people to deal with and gave great confidence in a space where many other suppliers are very sales-led. They were service-led and it really makes a difference. Did everything they said when they said they would do it, often before, and couldn’t have been more accommodating.

High quality bespoke install - SOLAR & Battery I wanted a PW3 & solar installation - Dom and the team at SS do quality work with attention to detail. Cables and units installed exactly where I wanted for maximum aesthetics. From the back office staff to installers all were a delight. Very neat and tidy installation and works as expected first time. Thoroughly professional team who know what they are doing and care about their standard of work which is exemplary.

Sussex Solar supplied an Air Source Heat Pump, PV Solar Panels, Battery and Grid Gateway to our home and did an excellent job right from the initial enquiry and informative survey, through installation and final commissioning. The installation team were brilliant in ensuring we were without hot water and heating for only a minimal period and the installation itself is so neat and tidy. We're very pleased with the result and would thoroughly recommend. (We used Sussex Solar for thermal and PV panels on our previous home and were very pleased with those projects too - and the great aftercare service received over the past 15 or so years)

Sussex Solar have been back to do another job for us! I think we first used them about 16 years ago to install a solar thermal system. Next came a solar PV system. Then about 3 years ago a 12kw Vaillant air source heat pump to replace our gas boiler. Now, more PV panels and a Tesla Powerwall. In each case, they gave good advice, designed a robust system, and installed it to a high standard on time and on budget. The few items of servicing that have been necessary have also been handled well. I highly recommend them for the range of products and services they offer.

Decided to invest in Roof Solar PV panels, Tesla Powerwall 3 and Zappi charger. From first contact with Sussex Solar in December, through reviewing our options, agreeing a project and the completion of the installation at the end of January, the whole process was straightforward and very professional. What I valued most was the care and quality of work carried out by every member of their team. It was a pleasure to have them work at our home. In addition, the communication with their office planning team was first class. Our Solar Thermal system was also serviced again, as part of the overall project. System working to plan and when the sun shines, wow!!

While I had other companies provide quotes, Sussex Solar stood out for their clear understanding of my project requirements and timelines. What has impressed me was their willingness to collaborate and adapt to my needs. The only issue I had was with the base of the ASHP where it was not clear from the instructions given how far it needed to be from any wall. We engaged Sussex Solar to install a ground-mounted array, after enquiries with a few other bigger firms had come to nothing. They were very helpful and responsive during the quotation, planning and installation process, and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
