Shane and gang did a brilliant job repairing and rebuilding a 50 year old asphalt drive which was breaking up, showing its age etc. Impressive and thorough groundwork and prep. including new round top edging to the borders. Tarmac finish has been well laid. Good communicator, not pushy. Work completed on schedule and within budget. Highly recommended.

Shane is friendly and helpful. He came round to do a quote and measure up at a time that was convenient to us. His quote was competitive to the 3 other quotes we received. Shane was very knowledgeable and helped and advised us as to what would work well to achieve the look we wanted. He and his team turned up on time everyday and were polite and friendly throughout. They were patient with our requested changes during the job and were flexible and adaptable when we changed the plans. We agreed the additional costs for the changes before the work was done. Shane of Ashley Paving Limited has delivered us a high quality drive replacing our tired old drive with superior service and to schedule. Delightful, polite, clean and tidy, Ashley Paving is a complete professional outfit. Although initially I wanted to resurface with tarmacadam, Shane surveyed carefully and advised the property deserves block paving, which would uplift the appearance of the front significantly. Our drive is on sloping ground with streams running underground. I was concerned about water from the streams running towards the building causing damages. Shane made a number of valid suggestions making a better solution than what I had originally planned. Shane provided a number of sample blocks and suggested layout options. Shane addressed each of my concerns appropriately before the start of the work. He fully engaged with me at every step as the work progressed. Shane was accommodating to my changes as we encountered issues during the work. What attracted me to Ashley Paving is that Shane runs this as a family business, his sons work with him along with a long-time associate who is an expert in laying blocks. They are competent, polite and caring despite working in a chaotic situation. The quality and workmanship provided by Ashley Paving is of a very high standard. It was a pleasure working with Shane and his team. We are delighted that we asked Shane to do our drive. He has created something special for us with a wow factor. I contacted Shane at Ashley Paving for a quote for a new resin drive due to the plentiful positive reviews on their Trusted Trader page. Shane came out to my property to assess my work requirements and promised to send me a quote which he had neither the courtesy nor decency to do unfortunately. To surmise, it was a complete waste of my time. It makes a mockery of the review system when traders like this who have the highest ratings turn out to be absolutely discourteous and nonchalant.

New driveway completed in a week and then returned to seal the block paving. Kept us informed all the time and left the front tidy each day. Very professional. Would recommend to anyone

I have no hesitation in recommending Shane and his team. They replaced my worn out tarmac driveway with a block paved drive and installed a drainage system to divert an underground stream. It was not a straightforward rectangular flat driveway - irregular shape & on a slope leading to double garage. The attention to detail was first class as was his recommendation on the choice of materials. My neighbour is now having his driveway done by Shane too.
