Easystep Stairlifts received the Which? Trusted Trader of the Year award, ahead of several other excellent nominees.

Founded in 2002, Easystep provides new, reconditioned and rental stairlifts across most of the UK. The company has won Which? Trader Trader of the Month four times, and has been endorsed since 2014. 

The Which? Awards cover companies across 13 categories from banks to car manufacturers. They recognise brands that demonstrate dedication to providing outstanding products, value for money, and great customer service.

Reliability, trust and flexibility is key

Easystep Stairlifts was selected for the award due to the compassion it demonstrates to its customers. It has introduced a number of measures to make the buying journey as simple and supportive as possible. 

These include: a strict, non-negotiable pricing structure that protects against high-pressure sales tactics; a simplified, jargon-free digital survey; and external empathy training for their staff. 

Our judging panel said, ‘The business has created a genuinely supportive and transparent purchasing journey.’

Its commitment to consumer care is reflected in its outstanding customer reviews. On the Trusted Trader website, it has a perfect five stars across all three key areas (customer service, quality and value for money), based on 146 customer reviews.

Celebrations at the Which? Awards

Now in their 20th year, the Which? awards were held at the Science Museum in London on 14 May 2026.  

The Trusted Trader of the Year category shortlists traders for providing high levels of customer care and service and excelling against benchmarks set by Which?’s trading standards professionals for the Which? Trusted Traders endorsement scheme. The award celebrates some of the best tradespeople, who have gone above and beyond to build trust, offer high quality workmanship, and serve their communities. 

Competition for Trader of the Year was strong. Other brilliant brands shortlisted were: Associated Stairlifts Ltd, Balhousie Glazing Ltd, Hadley & Ottaway Ltd and LCM Flat Roofing Ltd.
